I agree. Following the icy weather last week which meant the grit mixed in with the rain water it was particularly unpleasant being behind a bike without mudguards yesterday. I agree on not enforcing it, it may put non members coming along to try out the club (if they don't currently have any), but we should consider it to save fellow members behind you from a face full of grime. I know it's not the best look on race bikes but they are worth it - the forecasters keep telling us our winters are going to get wetter and milder. The Crud mud guards are perfect for those bikes with little clearance - I'm sure @stack stocks them at Solstice.
