Thought this up-date might interest the Off-Roaders amongst us...
Woburn Bike Trails is proud to confirm that the Longslade Trail route design is now almost complete and has been signed off so all we have to do is to finish the groundworks (all we have to do!).
Next actions by Woburn Bike Trails Volunteers and the Greensand Trust are to:
• complete the installation of the entrance and exit posts/gate and control gates for the whole route
• finish marking out the last couple of sections and open them for use
• complete and publish the route map
Our biggest ongoing challenge however is coping with the unending maintenance/trail improvements especially with the wet weather and as those of you who regularly ride in the woods know only too well, some sections are very soft/wet and require immediate attention.
What we need is your help. There’s at least one dig/maintenance day per month that you can join in with and our core volunteers are often out most weekends and so there will be other opportunities to join in.
