Velodrome club session

Pete. Thanks. I have done London, so know how they operate and I am sure Derby is the same.

So, we are still only at 6 that have expressed an interest. The one day everyone except Matt (Sorry!!) can make is 19th June.

I have gone back to the Velodrome to see if this is still available. However, We need to get the numbers up to above 12 ideally.

If the velodrome is free and we do decide to do it, is anyone opposed to me opening it up to non club members?

I don't mind non-members, it could be a good way to tempt them to join in the future

Scrub that! It's not free now. Think I will look at an Autumn session. I will look again and advise dates.

OK, its time to bring this back to life (and see how many people actually look at the forum!!) Details are as before - the hire of the track at Derby is £133.60 per hour for up to 16 people. We need an instructor at £26.25 per hour. Bikes are charged between £7.30 and £10.00, not sure what the differences are other than quality I guess. The bikes have Keo cleats. As such you can use your own shoes with Keo fittings, or trainers with toe straps or hire shoes at £5.60. As such, for the full capacity of 16 of us, the maximum it will cost is £25.59. Not at all bad.

The time slots in the Poll are 3 hour slots but I suggest we do 2 hours. If most say 1 only, then we will go with that.

16 is the max. I will book once we get to 10 and book the first day that gets to 10. If we get to 16, great it works out cheaper per person.

Can't make the 9th Oct as I'm in the US, other than that I'm good. Shame we have to wait to Oct, I guess it gets all booked up?

Suppose it depends if we can fill it with club members. However, as we are currently only at 6 replies, think it's safe to say non club members can come! Why, how many are you thinking of?

Thanks for everyone that did respond. The day most said yes is the 12 Nov, unfortunately that is no longer free. They have penciled the 30 October (Sunday ) in for us. I will firm it up later this week. Unfortunately we only have 8 yes for this day, so we may need to go out to others not on the forum/club.

So how many are we looking for to make this manageable, 18 - 20??

Hi All. As is always the way with these things, we cant get a date to suit everyone. However, I am going to be firming up the 30th October with Derby. As I get more details, I will let you all know. Anyone else that can make it, please get it in your diary!! The track time is 17:00 to 18:00.
