Hi Adam
I was contacted through the web site this week by a BMCC member who suggested a ride with the visiting French cyclists. However, I haven't had any chance to do any further with that, so curious as to how you've become aware of this?
The issue is that they can only ride on Saturday so if people were interested then we'd need to discuss what happens with the club rides that weekend.
I'm with you in that I wouldn't actually be able to make the Saturday.

A bit of context from the email I received yesterday....
Around 36 people from Mouvaux are coming including
12 cyclists (not fast ones, mainly over 60, I know one can be fast at that age!) , their schedule is quite full and the only time to organise a ride would be on Saturday morning. I know that you normally have rides on Sundays.
I have been to see Paul at Solstice cycles and he said he could be at the shop at 9 and we could organise the ride to start from there. Rides of around 50 km no more, easy to plan on Strava or garmin. I will need to have a look at the list again and might have to organise two rides according to ability but it would be great to have some Swan wheelers with us.I also had the idea for some of the cyclists to be dropped before their arrival in Buckingham (around Aylesbury ) and for them to cycle the last few miles ( to make it to 50 km) but that seems to be a step too far, not easy to organise something on Friday afternoon.
For the keen cyclists, Mouvaux is about 5 km from Roubaix and next to some very well-known cobble section of the Paris Roubaix, also not far for Belgium and Flanders…worth forging some links with the club.
This might be a step too far but if you know of anybody who could offer bed and breakfast for two nights that would be fantastic, seems that everybody is away on holiday!I'm away this weekend but perhaps its something that could be mulled over a pint in the Woolpack tonight?

So is anyone either:
- Keen/available to ride on the Saturday morning with the French contingent?
- Happy to be ride leader?
I'll need to get back to the organisers one way or another by the end of next week.
Cheers
Matt

Matt,
I will be available to ride along with the Mouvaux contingent on Saturday.
I assume something is happening? I can't actually make it, but it will be good to get them involved Sunday.
