• Hi All,

many apologies but I am going to cancel the ride on Thursday.

We've only just got back from our Eastbourne camping weekend a day late after our little one nearly drowned in a swimming pool incident. He's ok now, has been discharged from hospital, but he was grey faced, blue lipped, unconscious and not breathing when I pulled him out of the water.

Luckily we were in the Eastbourne District General Hospital's social club at the time, so the ambulance arrived within minutes and had about 100 yards to take him to the main entrance.

After 24 hours he's been released as aok, and he's back to his normal sunny self, but as you can imagine we're all absolutely frazzled, stressed out and exhausted.

I nearly didn't post this picture, but if anything good is to come of our miserable weekend it may be that this reminds everyone with small kids how important it is to watch them constantly around water. There were 10 or so people in the pool, and no-one even noticed him getting in to trouble until we started shouting...
