  • Greetings Wheelers
West south west wind means one thing, bacon butties at the milk shed, feel free to step up on this ride its flat and I'm nursing my knee again so looking a 16 mph. So off to Weston on the green I had to dig deep for a history fact but here we go, the airfield at WOG was built by German prisoners of war and Canadian military personnel built it in 1915, so watch out for Jerry on this ride. little factoid for you the nickname Jerry was originally created during World War I, but it did not find common use until World War II. The name Jerry was probably derived from the stahlhelm introduced in 1916, which was said by British soldiers to resemble a chamber pot or Jeroboam. Alternatively, it may be a simple alteration of the word German. Anyway to the ride

    Distance: 44.7 Miles
    Elevation: 237 meters
    Terrain: Flat as it gets
    Wind: WSW
Precipitation: 10% we may be lucky, but mudguards please
    Stop: Milk Shed
