When I went out last night the small road from chetwode to the Stratton Audley crossroads had a closed sign up. It was fine to get through but don’t know what it’ll be like on Sunday

Cheers Dan, went through there myself yesterday but will check on Saturday to see if it's still open.

Would like to try a B ride but not sure of the pace and don’t want to hold you all back so..... what is you estimated pace to be

I’ll stick with you Glynnis - if too fast we can always break away and meet them at the cafe! Mind you - weather looks horrendous so being a fair weather rider I might have to bale Night before!

Hi Glynnis & Francine, the planned pace is going to be between 15-17 mph for Sunday, your both very welcome & if needed a slightly slower pace can be adopted. The route in itself isn't to challenging with only a few hill climbs.

Sorry francine I’ve signed up for the C ride not confident that I can keep up the pace

Whatever you feel comfortable at but I think you’re under estimating yourself! You’ve done the B ride pace many a time with me - and leading up the hills! As I said I’m happy to hang back with you if u do find it too much.

As I have taken the group over six riders I am happy to support by leading a 2nd B group. Don't mind the slower end of the range to help those who wish to step-up.

Martin - will you do a call early tomorrow or later today if the ride is cancelled due to weather or are you die hard and going anyway?

Due to heavy rain & uncertainty over the conditions of the roads after the deluge overnight I've taken the decision to cancel today's ride, if anyone does venture out please take care & hope to see you all soon.
First time for me, so be gentle!
With guidance from Guy we've got a rolling 51 mile route down to Waterperry, cafe stop approximately 27 miles in.
Route will take us out through Gawcott, Chetwode, Stratton Audley, Launton, Blackthorn, Ambrosden, the Arncotts, Boarstall, Horton cum Studley, Worminghall, Waterperry, Oakley, Blackthorn, Marsh Gibbon, Poundon, Twyford, Preston Bissest, Gawcott, ending at the Ring road Garage.
Meet up at the far end of the swans car park around 8:45am depart approx 9am, please adhere to the distancing measures in place and make sure to bring a face mask.
Please hit the attend button to book your interest/place, if there are more than 6 people we will need a 2nd RL to split it into 2 groups with staggered departure times.
