Glad you've got it via Garmin now, Corinne. Within whatever route planning system anyone uses there should be an upload function with which to upload a GPX file, whether mine created on Strava or Paul's created on Garmin.
That's been my experience anyway. It doesn't matter which system the route is created on or which it is uploaded to - as long as the file is GPX. Happy to be corrected if I've got this wrong.
