3nd Round-Gawcott Challenge Cup

Hello Swans,
In a bid to replace the Silverstone Cup, which we feel has become overpriced (2 laps in now £21), and create a social event, we now have a fabulous new challenge. In the "Gawcott Challenge Cup", it's simply turn up at the Crown pub in Gawcott, ride the route as fast and as safely as you can, and then reward your effort with a tasty beverage.

The time set will be your starting point; we will then meet monthly to see how we are progressing and give some encouragement and partake in a tasty beverage. Sept 22nd will be the final event, and notably, the time set will be used to measure your improvement over the summer. The most improved rider will be awarded the fabled "Gawcott Challenge Cup" ( due to cost of living increases, it may look very similar to the Silverstone Cup).

1. This is an open road event; be aware of other road users
   
2. Ride the route before your hot lap; nothing, potholes and failed surfaces etc
   
3. T junction- as the route turns left with traffic from the right, prepare to stop

'Challenge Crown' would have been better...but budget cuts!!!
