Looks fine to me Paul, should complement Saturday's ride. About 2hrs riding to arrive? Coffee stop before arrival, so 9'ish start?

Good, yes 9 sounds good to me so meet at the pool as usual, it's a 62 mile ride and looking to pace it around the 13-15 mph, lunch at the Warmington Herb Centre and as Malman written will look for an earlier tea Stop as well?
It's Over 4 hrs in the saddle so please fill your pockets with your favourite snacks and fill your bottles too.
so who's up for this ride to cheer the girls on? -
• #7
Route looks good to me Paul so yes aiming to be there.
-
• #8
I'll be there Paul.
What time before the ETA do they close the road? Will we have time to get into a good viewing point, i.e. on the hill. -
• #9
I'm aiming to be there as well but reliant on how busy I am at work...

Using a rolling system and website quote is... "The roads will close shortly prior to the event passing through and will reopen once the participants of the Cycling Tour have safely passed".. it'll be more about getting and sorting our viewing point, how busy will it be? Leave a bit earlier maybe, Thoughts please?

Should be ok I think. Say 2:15 ride plus a 45 min stop should get us there by 12:00. The earliest ETA is 12:55. Say they close the road 30min before, gives us 25 minutes leeway to grunt up to a good viewpoint. Ha!

Struggling to find a Stop on the way out at the moment may have to ride to lunch stop before rather than after?
adjusted above course to stop early... -
• #13
Right, I've got a conference call I need to do until 10 so I'm gonna struggle sadly, if it finishes dead on 10 I may look to follow the route and catch you at lunch....

Love a plan PdT...
The women's your tour goes to Edge Hill on the 9th June which is about 30 miles away. This is the the day before the Gran Fondo Saturday ride but is anyone interested in riding out to Edge Hill? Edge Hill is a QoM climb and they are scheduled to arrive around 12.30 to 1.30.
