Ride Silverstone

Has anyone else considered riding around Silverstone, to just experience the ride, or possibly challenge yourself to a fast lap?
With the track surface, it would be the perfect opportunity to try out a 4 man TT team!
There are 3 dates coming up August/ September in the evenings from 5:30- 7:30...anyone up for it?

I've ridden round Silverstone circuit before during a duathlon. It really is nice on the smooth tarmac and the lack of potholes is brilliant.

I'm away for the first date so will probably sign up for the latter August date.

Besides, given the news today it sounds like Silverstone could do with a few extra fivers ahead of this weekend!!

I'm up for this but can't make the first one. I rode round the circuit earlier in the year with my son on the NORPIP charity bike ride and as Matt says, is great fun.

I did one earlier this year - good fun (not as flat as you may think)
I could do end August or September - would love to try a bit of team TT

Looks like end of August, with a backup in September is the best option so far.

I will be trying it out tonight around 6:30, to get the lay of the land. Apparently no need to book, just turn up with the money and a disclaimer form (off website), and ride.

You can say that again Pat, a headwind down hangar strait to Stowe corner. But a nice assist past the old start/finish line. Lots of people riding from toddlers with trainer wheels, mountain bikes, club riders in formation, to all out TT riders pushing the big gears. Good fun! Looking forward to a club outing there, to hitch a tow and see what I can do flat out. Next evening is 30th August...here's hoping weather and club members are both agreeable.
