might be tempted, maybe use as a Club AwayDayRide?
-

Nice idea. Its about a 2 hour drive.

Maybe wise to think about staying locally the night before to avoid a very early start

Website seems to suggest that there are two different dates for the event, i.e 14th May and 21st May. The text says the 14th and the calendar reminder says the 21st.

Checked the official website and its definitely the 21st May. I'm interested in going and might try for the 100 miler bit I'll confirm nearer the time.

Update on accomodation if needed - difficult to get in Framlingham, even airB&B are very expensive.
However, the Ipswich (north) Premier Inn, where we stayed last year, is about 20 mins from Framlingham and, currently, rooms are only £51.00 (with full cancellation).
Last year, we stayed the night before and had a really good meal at the Station Hotel (or was it the Railway Inn??? - it's an in joke from last year!!!) in Framlingham.
So, options for you to consider are:
1) drive - ride - drive home same day (Sunday) (rides start from 8.00am)
2) drive & stay night before (Saturday) - ride event (Sunday) & drive home on Sunday
3) drive & stay night before (Saturday) - ride event (Sunday) & stay 2nd night to explore Suffolk on Monday - drive home on Monday
Any thoughts & suggestions, please post... -

Hello all! Not long now till the ride! One thing I didn’t do when registering was put down who I was riding with so I’m a bit worried my start time will be different to yours. 😬 Do you think it will matter much on the day?

Niall and I are entering this again for next year and a number of others have expressed an interest. There are 3 levels, 42, 65 and 102 miles. The cost is £32 for the 42 miles and £42 for the other two. There are feeds stations (paid for in the registration fee), mech support, medal, fully signed and medical assistance. Is anyone else interested in coming along for what is a really great sportive, please let Niall or I know and we will start putting something together.
