Silverstone GP this week and, EWR/HS2 making life tricky South of Buckingham, so heading Easterly in a 35mile loop around the lovely countryside around the Weald up to Whaddon, back through Padbury and Lenborough.

This is a shorter route than of late, to give you a chance to ease back and enjoy the ride, rather than covering the longer distances in the same timeframe. Again the terrain is a little gentler, with undulations rather than the climbs you have encountered the last few weeks heading North. The weather is looking good, all the more reason to take it easy and enjoy the company of your friends.
Please do continue to respect serving staff at the cafe by wearing a face mask, and maintain social distancing. We are in a tentative period with Covid at the moment, and need to take care of each other regardless of the rule of law.
Hope to see some of you once again on Sunday

Yes of course @GrahamB, glad to have you along.

The Weather is looking warm but a bit changeable for Sunday, so sticking close to home with options to cut short if the 40% chance of a shower proves more sustained.
The 39mile route is out via Chackmore to Whittlebury, through Siverstone to Abthorpe , where I have plotted to take you round the back road through the village (because it is lovely, and gives you a chance for a photo or two). Back on the main road to Brookside Wappenham, to stretch those legs up the incline back to Syresham, then Biddlesden to Westbury for a drink and treat. From there it will depend on the weather which way we come back. But the plan is to cross to Hethe on to Stratton Audley, back to Gawcott, finally Buckingham.

I hope to see some of you out for a spin at 08:45 for a prompt 09:00 start.
