This post is to let everyone know of an exciting event being held at the Derby Arena Indoor Cycling Track.
The National Derny Championships are on Saturday 23rd September.
If you have not seen it before, Derny events are where the bikes are paced around the track by little motorbikes. This event comes from Japan, where it is a huge betting event, like horse racing!!!
I will be going, if others are interested, we can make an outing of it and car share.
Further details, prices etc can be found on the link below.

After our successful visit to the Derby Track earlier this year, we plan to hold another event. This time, the plan is to include both track novices and those who have ridden the boards before (well at least once for some of us!)
We are planning the session for a Friday evening in February but the track schedule for next year will not be available before November.
So, this is a holding post to guage interest from you all.
If you have never ridden a track before, no need to worry, as there will be a professional tracl coach to guide us through the session.
As before, we can have 16 riders per hour of track booked, so we may book 1.5 or 2 hours this time if numbers allow.
If you would like further information on cycling at the Derby Arena, please follow the link below for details of costs etc.
