A few final details for you all ahead of Friday....
1) Parking - is free for 3 hours at the Arena. When you go into reception tap your car registration into the touch pad
2)Arrival time - we can all meeet in the cafe within the track area- we have access to the track area 30 mins before our session starts. So we can go in from 7.30pm
3) Changing facilities - these are available along with showers. Lockers take £1 coins
4) Bike & shoe hire will need to be paid on the night - Bikes £8.50, shoes £6.90

Update on accomodation if needed - difficult to get in Framlingham, even airB&B are very expensive.
However, the Ipswich (north) Premier Inn, where we stayed last year, is about 20 mins from Framlingham and, currently, rooms are only £51.00 (with full cancellation).
Last year, we stayed the night before and had a really good meal at the Station Hotel (or was it the Railway Inn??? - it's an in joke from last year!!!) in Framlingham.
So, options for you to consider are:
1) drive - ride - drive home same day (Sunday) (rides start from 8.00am)
2) drive & stay night before (Saturday) - ride event (Sunday) & drive home on Sunday
3) drive & stay night before (Saturday) - ride event (Sunday) & stay 2nd night to explore Suffolk on Monday - drive home on Monday

New route taking us to north through Syresham and Wappenham, then south trrough Helmdon to coffee stop at Brackley Central Cafe, before afairly short homeward leg through Evenley, Finmere, Tingewick and Gawcott. 30 miles in total with coffee at 20 miles.

Stratton Barn is now closed Saturday - Monday so will post a different route later today

As I have been off the bike for a while, this Sunday willbe a fairly gentle loop round to the Stratton Barn stopping at 20 miles with a total 33 mile ride.

Good news, we have 16 riders signed up and paid up (and 2 reserves waiting in the wings!)
Just wanted to remind everyone that your bike/shoe hire can be paid for on the night as follows:
Bike hire: £8.50
Shoe hire: £6.90
At least there will nt be any snow/ice inside the track arena!

Hi Midweekers
This week, John Hamilton has stepped in to help me and will lead you on a familiar figure of 8 course out to Croughton and back. I have had to make a slight change to our usual route to avoid road closure at Chetwode (sorry Paul!).

Hi Midweekers
So I've found a new cafe near Waddesdon in the Westcott Venture Park just off the A41.
Our route heads south over the A41 with a sting in the tail just before the cafe stop as we loop back around to Westcott!
Then, after a very short bit of the A41, we head home via the well known roads through the Claydons avoiding the railway works!

Hi All Trackies!
I need to let the Derby Arena know what bikes and shoes we need to hire.
Please can you take a look at the attached form and let me know (preferably by e-mail: brashn@live.com) and/or as a post below in this thread.
Check note on pedal type above to check if you need to hire shoes or not.
Also, following a few questions, can I clarify that we have NOT hired a coach to get to and from Derby - the coach is a real live track cycling instructor!
Hopefully, we can group together in cars for the travel.
