Update on Sunday C ride:
Looking at our route, the return leg may be a too much of a long stretch giving a total distance at 44 miles so to encourage folks to join the C ride, I have come up with a shorter route back giving us a total of 36 miles as attached below.
We can agree on options in the morning.

Hello C Riders/Leisure Riders
This week we are taking a southerly loop to a favourite cafe in Quainton - yes, the George & Dragon!
Our plan is to meet at the G&D with the Leisure group, led this week by Stewart. We hope that a number of you leisure group riders will join either the first half or second half or both with the C group depending how you feel (before or after cake may make a difference!)
Our route heads south through Gawcott, Stratton Audley, Launton & Marsh Gibbon to the G&D at Quainton (approx 24 miles) and then a shorter home run through the Claydons (approx 14 miles).
Current forecast looks good - sunny intervals but 8 degrees C so you may need overshoes, warm gloves etc. plus the usual hydration and spare inner tubes.
I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.

Good morning C riders - plan for our last outing of this year is for a ride of around 36 mile to Thrift Farm, so not too far, if like me, you have extra ballast after the festive period! We will be heading out via Gawcott, Winslow and Mursley returning via Whaddon, Beachampton, Nash, Thornborouh, Padbury and Gawcott.
Forecast is for aroud 6 degrees C with a gentle southerly breeze so wrap up warm with overshoes , gloves and spare tubes!
Please hit 'attending' if planning to ride.
Hope to see you in the morning.

Calling C Riders - this weekend we will be heading into the westerly breeze to the lovely Limes Farm at Farthinghoe, followed by a shorter route home.
The route takes us through Syresham, Helmdon, Sulgrave to Farthinghoe (at mile 19), then home via Charlton, Evenley, Mixbury and Finmere.
Total route is not too long at 34 miles so I hope we can attract some leisure riders to join us.
Forecast is much better than recent days with temperatures up to a balmy 9 degrees but wrap up for the wind and bring hydration.
Hope to see you at the Swan Pool on Sunday morning.

Hi Midweekers -my thought for tomorrow is to ride out in a loop heading SE to stop at Thrift Farm via the Claydons, Quainton, Winslow and Swanbourne. Then heading back with the breeze via Whaddon, Nash and Thornborough to Buckingham.
Route is about 40 miles: https://www.strava.com/routes/21058155
It's likely to be cold again, so wrap up warm and please fit mudguards/lights if needed.
IF FROSTY IN THE MORNING, I SUGGEST WE HEAD OUT LATER AROUND 11:00AM - WILL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED .
Hope to see you tomorrow.

This weekend, the plan is to ride north on a loop coming back to the Evenley Forge Cafe where we will meet up with Stewart's Leisure Ride. Then, suitably refreshed, leisure riders can ride back with the C group is they so wish, all taking advantage of the northerly breeze to speed us back to Buckingham.
Route is: https://www.strava.com/routes/22635920
The loop is around 38 miles, 25 miles to coffee & cake and 13 miles back home.
The weather forecast is for a cool 5 degrees with light breeze from the north so wrap up warm. Hoping to dodge any rain, but please ride with mudguards and lights as appropriate for the weather.
Hope to see you on Sunday at 8:45am at the Swan Pool for a 9:00am roll out.
Please press 'attending' if you plan to ride with us.
