Hi Everyone - as the wind is forecast to be slight and from the NW, I thought we could ride out NW through Chackmore, Syresham, Greatworth to Farthinghoe and stop at Limes Farm (start slightly rerouted to avoid Stowe Avenue - closed for resurfacing). Then home via Charlton, Evenly and a little southern detour to Hethe , Chetwode and Gawcott. Distance around 38 miles.
Meet at Swan Pool from 9:15 am to roll out at 9:30 am. -

Hi Midweekers - keen to go and see the new 7th Heaven Cafe - my son, Angus, has helped create a relatively short route, but does involve a very short section on the A43 and quite a bit of B road - let me know what you think - we can always go somewhere else like Limes Farm and save 7th Heaven for the longer Gran Fondo C Ride at some point in the future. Also, a little bird tells me that 7th Heaven stop serving bacon rolls at 11:00 am - is this true?
Here's a link to the route:

Hi C Riders,
Here is our first Gran Fondo ride - approximately 48 miles.
We plan to set off 30 minutes earlier at 8.30am, so be at Swan Pool around 8.15am.Given longer route, I suggest we all bring a small snack to have at Fritwell, half way to main cafe stop at mile 30, 7th Heaven Cafe in Adderbury, returning via Evenley to Buckingham

Hi C Riders
Back after a cold (head) and cold (roads) so fairly easy ride looping west through Finmere, then south to Stratton Audley & Marsh Gibbon stopping at Twyford for coffee & cake, returning home through Steeple Claydon and Gawcott.
Hope to see you - forecast is for full sun, none of that horrible ice! -

Hi Leisure Riders
So finally, we can ride the route planned a few weeks ago! Heading to a favourite cafe - Limes Farm at Farthinghoe via Finmere, Westbury, Syresham and Greatworth. Coming back to Evenly, then home via a loop through Fingford (or straight back to Finmere and Gawcott if anyone needs to get back a bit earlier like me if my sinuses don't clear!). Distance is 40 miles. Please fit lights and mudguards and wrap up warm! -
Hi Leisure Riders
As I am away next week, trying to get ahead of the game, so here is the Leisure Ride for Sunday 4th November. Heading to a favourite cafe - Limes Farm at Farthinghoe via Finmere, Westbury, Syresham and Greatworth. Coming back to Evenly, then home via a loop through Fingford (or straight back to Finmere and Gawcott if anyone needs to get back a bit earlier). Distance is 40 miles. Please fit lights and mudguards - it really is autumn now! -
This weekend, as many A/B riders will be off on the Gran Fondo, I will lead a B Ride at mid-week ride pace around 15 mph average speed. Our route heads out NE through Wicken, Deanshanger, Old Wolverton, Hanslope and round to Stoke Bruerne where we will stop on the canal side for coffee and refreshments. Then coming back through Shutlanger, Whittlebury and Silverstone to Buckingham. Distance is just under 40 miles.
