The A ride this week heads SW to Islip, turns N to the cafe stop at Spokes, Heyford Park, and finally heads back E at Charlton from where we should have a strong tailwind back home.
The forecast currently is cool, cloudy and with a low chance of rain towards the end of the ride, so you may want some warmer clothing. There is also a strong W wind. If there is rain, there is an option to shorten the route back by cutting back through Cottisford.
Route is checked against one.network but if anyone spots anything please let me know.
Distance: 50 miles / 80km, with the stop at 29 miles / 46km
Ascent: a slightly flatter ride at approx. 1600 ft / 475m
Speed: 17-19 mph, although the wind may slow us a bitHope you can join - please sign up if so!

This week it is an all-club meet up at Thrift Farm. We have a slightly circuitous route to get there, complicated by a few road closures. Hopefully this route avoids them all but if you know otherwise please let me know! The route is front-loaded, so a shorter route back home.
There is a chance of rain but hopefully not until after the stop, so you may want to bring a rain jacket.
Distance: 52 miles / 83km, with the stop at 33 miles / 53km
Ascent: approx 2300 ft / 700m
Speed: 17+ mph (no dropped riders)Hope you can make it - please sign up if so!

OK, I have made a modification to the beginning of the route to go out via Tesco and through Steeple Claydon in order to avoid the bumpy concrete slab road past the old Seven Stars pub. We pick up the original route at the cross roads on the way to Twyford, just before the HS2 blockade.
Distance remains the same: 53 miles / 86km, with the stop at 31 miles / 50km
Ascent (approx): 2200 ft / 700mWeather looks good for the ride, still time for others to join up, look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Planning to ride John's proposed route for last week, but possibly with a few tweaks as some other roads may now be usable.
Route from last week: 54 mile route to The Forge at Culworth
This will be a 17.5mph+ ride with nobody dropped.

Will take a look probably on Saturday for any tweaks, but it will something very much like this.

For various reasons we will head to the same cafe as the B ride this Sunday, the newly opened Church Farm Cafe in Aldbury (in a previous guise known as Musette Cafe).
Heading out SE via the Claydons, Whitchurch and skirting Tring; back (with maybe a light tail wind) via Mentmore, Stewkley and Winslow.
Distance: 56 miles / 90km, with the cafe at 27 miles / 44km
Ascent: 2300 ft / 700m
Speed: 17+mph, no dropped ridersA few climbs (North Marston, Cublington) but not especially hilly, and weather looks dry and fairly warm for October. Hope you can join us - please sign up if so!

Taking inspiration from the B ride last week, this week the A ride heads to Rectory Farm Cafe at Stanton St John. And recognising the achievements of the Lionesses today with their 3-1 victory over Australia, there are three larger hills on the way out (Ashendon, Chilton, Stanton St John) and just one on the way home (Woodeaton/Noke).
The weather is currently forecast to be warm (18-21C), cloudy but no real chance of rain, and a 10mph SW wind to help us on our way home.
Distance: 56 miles / 90km, with the cafe at 29 miles / 47km
Ascent: 2200 ft / 660m (approx)
Speed: 17+ mphHope you can join us - please sign up if you are coming along!

Due to the Moto GP at Silverstone, the ride heads south to Waterperry, with a little planning to avoid various road closures - fingers crossed! It is a fairly flat route with some larger bumps on the way out over Ashendon and Canons Hills.
Distance: 56 miles / 90km, with the cafe at 30 miles / 48km
Ascent: 2000 ft / 600m
Speed: 17+mphHope you can make it - please sign up if so!

After last week's non-ride, this week we have an all-club meet up at the George & Dragon, Quainton. But we have to earn our coffee break - heading over Muswell Hill/Brill and Chilton on the way out, and Pitchcott and Cublington on the way home. Should be fun!
Distance: 59 miles / 94km, with the stop at 32 miles / 52km
Ascent: approx. 2650 ft / 800m
Speed: 17+mphIt would be great to have you along - please sign up if you are coming!

Distance: 54 miles / 87km, with the cafe almost exactly half way at 27 miles / 44km
Ascent: 2000 ft / 625m (approx)
Speed: 17+mphPlease sign up if you fancy it, it will be great to see you on Sunday.

There's no way you'll get from Godington to Chetwode cross-country through the HS2 works!
