@TallTim I think I am currently down to take @PaulW only so can fit you in too if you like - as long as you don't mind your bike going on the roof.

It's the tail end of summer, 1 September is here, and that means Gran Fondo time again!
The plan is to head west, through Evenley and Adderbury, turning clockwise round Banbury, with a stop at the National Herb Centre at Warmington. The ride takes in two climbs for your palmarès: Tysoe Hill and Edge Hill, followed by the stop for a well-earned break and recovery, and a relatively straightforward ride back via Cropedy and Helmdon.
Distance: 64.5 miles / 104km
Climbing: 3264 ft / 995m
Stop: at 41 miles / 66kmNote that this is a combined A&B ride, with a B pace (around 16mph, no faster). The challenge will be in the GF distance and the two climbs. However the route is such that it is easy to skip either or both climbs, so if anyone is unsure give it a go and see how you get on.
As it is a GF, we will be meeting at 8:15am for an 8:30am start. Make sure you bring sufficient food and drink for the longer ride (with the stop being at 41 miles).
Should be a good ride, please click "I'm Attending" above to indicate you are coming, and hope to see you on Sunday!

I found it last time - but too late before we had to leave. It's down one of the roads away from crossroads in Yarmouth, Cowes direction (ie, opposite to the ferry). However I think they also didn't open until 6pm.
Definitely need to do something as my one improvement to the trip last year would be eating before we head for home - don't fancy driving home on an empty stomach again!

@PaulW - this is a stupid question I know, but presumably we also need to pay the ride fee if we want to join, as well as hitting "I'm attending" and turning up at 8am?

There are at least 7 of us Swans doing Ride London next week. I thought it would be worth sharing rider numbers, which would allow us to track each other on the Ride London app, if anyone is interested.
(You need share your first name / last name / rider number so others can track you. DO NOT share the "unique, secure GPS ID" as this is only used by you to enable the app to track you!)
I am: James Tebboth, rider number 12060

Heading to Harley Equestrian like the Bs, but via a different route.
Route: Chackmore - Whittlebury - Shutlanger - Blisworth - Bugbrooke - Nether Heyford - Everdon - Preston Capes - Woodford, and back via Culworth - Sulgrave - Helmdon - Syresham and Welsh Lane.
Northants rolling country, including a few lumps such as Upper Stowe, Preston Capes, Culworth and a little bump just before the stop itself.
17-19mph (probably lower end)
55 miles (88km)
3000 ft (904m)Hope to see you on Sunday!

A fairly straightforward B ride this week, as the forecast is windy and maybe a bit of rain. But don't let that put you off: the Milk Shed is our destination, and worth cycling out for.
Route is clockwise, heading through Launton and down to Islip, turning right to Weston-on-the-Green and the Milk Shed. Route back via Bucknell (but we will avoid the ford at Bainton), skirt Bicester instead and back to Buckingham via Stratton Audley.
Distance: 44 miles
Climbing: pretty flat - 350m
Speed 15-17 (almost certainly lower end heading out into the wind)
It will be great if you can join us, so please click "I'm Attending" above and see you on Sunday at 8:45am.
