@PaulW, All - when I spoke to the marshall at the end of the session last night, he said they were thinking about running an extra session in September. So there may yet be a further round! He advised us to keep an eye on the Silverstone Running and Cycling Club website in case they do announce an extra session.

Thanks Committee, I am sure I am not the only member/rider who appreciates that you have stepped up to run the club and progressing the various activities and discussions going on.
Don't be disheartened if no member shows up to the committee meetings - I expect most of us are very happy with how things are and have no burning issues to raise! The renewal numbers (49 - well done) and attendance at the rides demonstrate the support.

Looks like the men in September are going over some of the same roads as the women in June: stage 4 of the OVO Energy Tour of Britain climbs up Edge Hill and rides through Burton Dassett on Wed 5 September.

This is the only stage that comes near to us, so potentially a date in the diary for a club/informal ride? (But despite posting this I probably won't be able to come!)

All,
The Women's Tour is passing close to us on stage 2, Thursday 14 June:
http://www.womenstour.co.uk/stages/stage-2/
Starting in Rushen (Northants), it comes through Stony Stratford, Deanshanger, Whittlebury, and north up towards Daventry, on some of the roads we know well.
I doubt I will be able to go and see it due to work, but wanted to highlight it in case some members wanted to cycle over and see it somewhere along the route.

Thanks again to the committee for the ideas and energy they commit to the club.
In terms of Christmas meal, agree it would be nice to have a change from Prezzo. As well as the options mentioned, maybe worth considering the Turkish place in Cornwalls Place?
