Evening All
I’ve volunteered to organise some mountain bike rides for the club.
So this post if to try and get an idea of what level of interest there is in mountain bike events, and for what sort of events.
I’d be grateful if anyone who might be interested in attending some MTB events could reply below or by message answering the questions below.
Would you prefer:
a) Local events on bridleways etc.?
b) Trips to Cannock Chase, Thetford, and etc.?
c) Downhill MTB events (Aston Hill etc.)?
d) Longer distance events (Roads/Tow-paths/Tracks etc.)?
e) More than one or all of the above, and if so which? For local events around footpaths/bridleways would you prefer:
a) Weekday evening events?
b) Weekend events? For longer trips (Cannock etc.) would you prefer:
a) Saturday
b) Sunday
c) A weekdayCan you give me an idea of your level of experience on a MTB as this will affect where we might go:
a) Absolute beginner
b) Intermediate
c) ExpertAny other thoughts/comments?
If I get a reasonable level of interest I’ll organise a selection of events over the summer as required and we can see how it goes from there.
Thanks
Phil. -

Hi @MattH
I get that. I prefer to pay for good quality rather than buy cheap, and as I say I'm very happy with the gillet I bought in September, I'm sure this order of a top and shorts will be as good.
I like the design of the Swan gear too.
I'm going to order something warmer in September, I guess. Fleece bib-tights probably, then I'll be sorted.
It's not a grumble at all but I guess it's just worth noting that what with the gillet (£50), shorts and top (£181) and next some tights (I guess approx £110 + VAT + Delivery) the club gear will have cost me around £400.

Sounds good 😊
I was wondering @PaulW if there were any plans for another Gran Fondo?

I hope this works - hopefully you'll see the 91 photos I ended up with. If not, please let me know and hopefully someone can tell me how to share this album properly :-)

Morning All,
a big thank you to Paul and Julian and everyone else who came for the ride yesterday, I'd forgotten how nice it is to be out on a Swan ride. Sorry I had to shoot off at the end but I was late for my wife's birthday lunch :-(
As you know I had my helmet cam on, so I ended up with 1,800 pictures to look through from the 2 1/2 hours of riding. I'll put a load on flickr or maybe dropbox but here are a few of the better ones...

Hi @MattH, just tried on my gillet which I'm delighted with, it's perfect! Thanks for all the work youve done organising the order.
