I realise the Midweek ride has become a bit quick, so how about a gentle 14mph out to The Barn at Stratton Audley for a slice of cake? - The wind has dropped and we may even see some sunshine.
Everyone welcome (and encouraged) - we will keep the group together - unless anyone really want’s to attack the hills - then please wait at the top and take a moment to enjoy the view.
Will post the route later - please hit the I’m attending button
Looking forward to seeing you there
The Route – update due to Heards Hill closure
Data overload here - just playing with all the options68km (42 miles) - only 420m total climbing
approx 2:40 on the road at 14mph averageI’ve added a little twist from Steeple to Chetwode

It’s going to be wet - how wet depends on which forecast you look at.
I’m definitely going out for a spin (unless it’s monsoon) - see you down at Swan Pool for 9:15 get-away sharp. No problem if anyone want’s to bail out - either completely or after the first loop.Send me a txt or contact me here (with your name if I don’t have you in my contacts) if you’re a no show.

So, this is what I’ve come up with - A local route for local people
2 loops of approx 25 miles - Stop in town at Gyre and Gymble
I’ll make a call on direction so we can get a tail wind back in on the last leg.— everyone welcome —
Looking for 15mph ave. This will be weather dependent (no heroics in the wet)
688m of climbing - so not too lumpy - no-one get’s droppedhttps://ridewithgps.com/routes/26199778

This week the midweek is to Buskers cafe in Wolverton
(because I hear it’s good)
Plan is to head North out of Buckingham to Stoke Bruerne and then come South to Wolverton via Hanslope for at stop at the 24 mile mark - we then head home on the familiar Stony, Whaddon, Thornborough, Akeley, Maids Moreton route.
A little under 2000 feet of climbing - This is a non-drop social
Pace: <15mph Av
(please also note - if this is too keen, we can adjust the ride to suit with a more out and back route I have up my sleeve.
At the moment the forecast is a balmy 10º, wind from the SE, no rain
Please click the "I'm Attending” button – don’t forget sunscreen!

Hope to see you at the Pool
