I hope you have all had a festive Christmas.
To celebrate the end of another successful year cycling we are off to the George and Dragon at Quainton for our club meet up.
Join me for a VERY leisurely ride out through Gawcott, Lenborough, East Claydon, Botolph Claydon, past Hogshaw Farm and onto The George and Dragon at Quainton. We do a loop out of Quainton and back to Lenborough where we can decide to either use the cycle way back into Buckingham or head up Lenborough Hill depending on what we have left in the legs!!Remember its cold so wrap up warm, and possibly a waterproof jacket.
Please ensure you have mud guards fitted to your cycle, prevents a wet behind and spraying the person behind you (me) with muddy water thanks.
Ensure you have a spare inner tube for your cycle and a drink. Cash or card for the café stop.
And of course, a sense of humour.
Remember we leave no-one behind
Want to join me please press the I am attending button.

This Sunday our ride takes a slightly hillier route to Whittlebury Park for coffee and cake. The Cafe has reopened for business and welcomes us this Sunday. This route is full of surprises we pass a reservoir, a castle and brush past an iconic racecourse. We use mainly quiet roads out, our journey back uses a busier road, but it is downhill all the way, and the road surface is wonderful so don’t be put off. We stop often to catch our breath with lots of time to get a drink and have a rest. Our pace is set by you our riders, no one is left behind and we have even been known to walk up some hills.
Please wear a cycle hat, suitable clothing and bring a spare inner tube for your bike. I can help repair, but my spare inner tube may not fit your cycle. A drink, and cash for the coffee stop and of course a sense of fun and laughter.
First-timers welcome!

This week we will be taking a 23mile ride the usual route out but with additions to Thornton and Passingham between the A421 and A422 where there is some wonderful countryside to ride through. Stopping at the Coffee Shop in Deanshanger for refreshments, before returning via the Bycell road past Akeley Wood School.
As always there are some hills but don’t panic, we ride at a pace to suit you with lots of rests to catch our breath.
Helmets must be worn, and you are advised to carry a spare inner tube to suit your tyres, as they vary, and others may not fit your bike. Better safe than sorry.
