Heading north to take in Newnham hill before looping round Daventry (bit of a ring road to avoid doubling back). We then crisscross the A5 before a climb up to Upper Stowe for coffee. Easy home from there with the option of a second stop at Silverstone if you want to catch the tail end of the charity event Mark was promoting.

GPX to follow once I’m at a laptop.

A little further afield but worth a stop if you’re out west. Large indoor space and lots of outside seating, nestled just outside Stourton with a few decent climbs nearby.

Trying to avoid the moto gp I thought we could head west to the Cotswold Distillery (a wee dram available if coffee isn’t enough). It’s an out and back route so, all the ups are downs and downs will be ups. Roughly 60miles in total.
Please click ‘I’m attending’ if you are coming and cross your fingers for hedges to protect from the wind from the north.
P.S. I am hopeful to actually attend my own ride this week.

Given all the road closures and less than perfect road surfaces south of Buckingham at the moment I thought we could head north this week.
Route is just short of 60miles with stop around half way at The boathouse which may be new to some.
Route below:

I’ve just checked and there is no way past at Chetwode so I have amended the route to take in 4 mini loops still allowing for a stop a Westbury.
New route is here

Having not received too much slack for my first attempt I thought id take the lead again this week. It’s a bit of a local loop but gives us the chance to appreciate the cinnamon rolls at Westbury. It also keeps us off most of the horrendous roads to the south (I will check the route out via SA on Tuesday and amend if needed). The route is just under 40miles with the stop just after half way, as we are staying local I’m happy to extend/shorten on the day if anyone desires?
Hope to see you Wednesday.

Hi all,
My first dabble at ride lead so hopefully we will have an uneventful ride out to The Yurt at North Aston. Approx 40mile route with the stop midway, few lumps and bumps out and back but nothing major. At present the route back from cafe should see a helpful tail wind so fingers crossed it stays that way.

Forecast based on last few days is anyone’s guess so plan for anything and everything.
Remember it’s still a good idea to bring a mask. Please hit the 'I'm attending' and meet at the Swan Pool at 9:15 am.
Hope to see you there. -

Another jolly to the north...
90ish Km route heads out north west before turning at 50Km and coffee shortly after. I'm taking a bit of a punt on the coffee stop as it's a new one on me but, the website looks OK (http://www.skylarkfarm.co.uk/the-cafe). Anyone who came last week can rest easy as Newnham hill is not included rather just passed by.
Weather is looking like some rain may be around. However, the temps are fine so there shouldn't be anything major to deal with.
