A second attempt to visit ‘Rose and Crown’ Wingrave. Going to stick with the same route as this is all a bit last minute.
50miles simple loop to accommodate all.

Squeezing this post into my lunch so in brief Sunday is looking like a bit of a breeze from the east so I’m proposing around 90km to Moulsoe. Stop at around 50km and then hopefully a helping tail wind home. Route to follow but it will be out south of mk over the three locks and then back across the north and in via deanshanger.

Weather is looking good for Sunday with moderate temps and no wind so if there is desire to head further afield let me know as I have a longer route ready to go. Otherwise I suggest a simple 80km and well known roads stoping in Wingrave leaving a short dash home. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/190042398

Given the meet up and desire to avoid the worst of the roads heading south it’s a similar journey out through Northamptonshire before looping back to Westbury for (free) cake. It’s a shorter dash after the stop but if there is appetite for it I’m happy to extend the route and post the amendment later in the week. Alternatively the weather is looking bright and warm from the off so if anyone is keen to head out earlier than normal we could do a longer first stint? Share your thoughts!

Weather is a little up in the air so I will keep an eye on the forecast and if it takes a turn for the worse I may amend the route and/or timings.
Initial plan is to head out past Silverstone and into northants, swinging west towards Napton on the hill, then back in via culworth and welsh lane. Around 90km with a few lumps and bumps along the way. Sign up if your interested and do mention if there is anystrong feelings either way on start times (consultation is not indicative of democracy) -

Looking to take advantage of the wind on the way back I’ve opted for a route out west. Keeping it a bit shorter but, there are some nice stretches of road before the coffee stop to open our legs on.

With a few riders away again it is looking like a smaller group for the ride this week. I will lead and set a route in due course but thought I'd get an initial note out to see what interest is like. If you are thinking of heading out can you respond and include preference for longer/shorter route.

Sunday's ride is an unashamed attempt to complete a ride without Rob's hands wandering the lower regions of my back on any incline beyond 75km. The route takes us out to Woodstock where we have a choice of coffee or beer depending on how busy the cafe is. Weather looks like a drizzle will be experienced at least on some of the ride. It's around 50miles split pretty much in half. See you Sunday.

Happy with whatever the consensus is, I’ve not ridden for ages so will be happy to get out whatever it be. The way I just saw you @LucyChoules take the mini roundabout by the gail in town, I’ll be doing well to hold your wheel

At risk of being kicked from the group I’m going to break from the preferred mode of transport and start the year off with a run. I will check in with you at swan pool and then make my own way to Claydon on foot. Should be there in time to meet you for a coffee. What time do you expect to get there? 10:30/45?
Route now below. It’s a tad shorter than normal owing to the weather forecast and my own selfish desire to not spend all morning wet (although this is highly likely). Route takes us south but not to NORSK. It’s an experimental route to test whether my issues with NORSK are the cafe itself or simply lack of ability to cycle uphill well?! Tap join, pack a Mac, and sit at the back laughing as I struggle up cannons hill.
