@LucyChoules should we plan for off road this week or are we sticking to conventional roads? Also @AdamPool🚴 you’ve clicked on the I’m attending button by mistake.

For all those looking to enjoy what is certain to be a morning full of sun and not a cloud in the sky, the midweek ride will see a tail wind push us north over a few lumps and bumps before stopping at 'The Hole in the Hedge' around the 30km mark (also known as 18miles). From here it's net down hill all the way home, the route will take us west of brackley and then head back in via evenly, mixbury, and so on. Full route just shy of 60km (36miles).
Hopefully we will have good numbers so, if you can have the route and are happy to lead a second group that would be helpful. GPX and link to route below, please note all weather forecasts are based strictly on hopes and dreams so do your own reconnaissance and prepare appropriately. -

In what will be my come back ride, with either well rested legs or more likely out of practice legs, I aim to take us out to the herb centre to soak up the sun in what looks to be Promising weather. It’s around the 55mile mark with a few up and downs all the way round. Please find the route below, I don’t have comp to hand so gpx will follow soon. Tap the I’m attending button if your along for the ride.

Just as well we were all sat down reading that shocking announcement from @AdamPool🚴 🤣

Roll up roll up, the A ride is heading north. The loop will head out past Silverstone and the usual bumps towards Preston Capes before a u turn at Newnham and heading back (wind assisted) towards Culworth for coffee. It’s a longer stint to the coffee stop at 60km so we will need to stick together and ride as a tight group sharing the work. After the stop it’s a short dash back to bucks where you can give it all you’ve got on Stowe avenue, I will have been out the night before so I’ll sit at the back and pick up the The lanterne rouge so no excuses not to join the ride.
Route below, I’m away from my comp so if someone can put the gpx up that would be most helpful

Sunday's ride, in what is looking like Sun and warmth, will see us head into the wind from the west. We are heading towards the Cotwolds and stopping in Charlbury at the midway point. There are a few lumps and bumps but, nothing to put you off and the last 10miles should be fast and easy as its mostly downhill with a wind assist. Overall its around 60miles with the 2nd half significantly easier than the first, dependent on your choices at the coffee stop.

A journey south, taking in Waddesdon before heading towards Princes Risborough and climbing up into the chilterns (not quite Whiteleaf), should avoid any major headwinds. As we loop back there will be a short stint into the wind prior to the coffee stop around 55/60km. With regards to coffee the B's are heading to PE Mead which has recently revamped their offering so we could see about meeting up with them as its only slightly off course alternatively we have the option of The Bell in Aston Clinton. Share your preference below.
In summary: 100Km, probably wet in places, hilly in places, fun the whole way.

Weather keeps changing so plans may alter last minute but, for now I'm planning to loop round the north of Banbury before heading back in to Bucks from the west. Hoping if there is wind it should be cross at worst on the way home. Coffee plan is to stop at Farm and Table about half way round.

Here is the route for tomorrow if you would like to join. One big climb but take it at your own pace and regroup at the top. Otherwise relatively flat and the pace will accommodate anyone who wants to join. Cafe stop will be around half way.

@AdamPool🚴 if it’s Muswell hill that’s putting you off we can wait at the top it’s not a problem, you don’t have to make excuses. 😂

Looking like a wet and windy ride. So to add to the fun of the weather I thought we could head south and make our way up and over brill before stopping at Norsk. They have some covered seating even if we are not welcome inside. Shorter route as it could be wet all the way but hopefully still enjoyable. See you Sunday.
I’m currently using bike maintenance as an excuse to avoid Xmas decorations. I’ve just set up the tubeless on my old bike and hopefully the pressures will hold if they don’t I’m at the mercy of what I have tubewise in various drawers so if I don’t appear I’m either out of action pending a delivery of inner tubes or I’ve been roped into decorating and driven to drink! Is it 9am start?
