Wednesday's Social ride is a repeat of the rain and illness restricted trip out to Hogshaw Farm Café ( https://hogshawfarm.co.uk/farm-shop-cafe/ ).
I've adapted the previous longer route to avoid the broken road of Poundon Hill, which has shortened it, although on the up side, we'll reach the café sooner for coffee and cake.I've also created a shorter version for those looking for a more leisurely trip.
Shorter 28 miles:
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/261492303Longer 34 miles:
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/261487828The weather forecast is for sunny intervals, a breezy North Westerly to help speed us to our café stop and a temperature range that might just break into double digits.
As usual, please ensure you have payment for coffee and cake, a drink on your bike, all the relevant repair kit and a water resistant jacket in case of a cheeky April shower :-))
Please sign up above if you fancy a new café and hopefully see you all on Wednesday.

Hi @JohnH, there is a road closure between Blakesley and Maidford (a really small red dot on One Network), but the closure signs were up today, although not sure if you can squeeze/walk through, as my route took me right onto the Banbury Lane (its the marked diversion) which can take you via Litchborough round to the Maidford crossroad without adding much.

@JohnH, we'll do the longer one please.
Cheers Mark -

Hi Stuart,
As James says mile 10 Cowpastures is closed at the A5 end and the temptation is to go round Pury End and pop out onto the A5 at Cuttle Mill. However Highways have removed the safe right turn lane at Heathencote and signed as a No Right Turn.
So again James is right about the possibility of Wood Burcote but I've not used it since they closed that road but apparently they've put in a rough gravel path suitable for walkers.
Sorry I can't suggest a more positive alternative, but better you know now rather than on Wednesday. -

@NiallB, I'm going to have to drop out, feel terrible, running a temp. going back to bed. Apologies for the short notice. Mark

This may be another One Network red herring, a friends Strava route yesterday included going from Shutlanger to Blisworth and he didn't post up anything about the road being closed.
Hopefully they just haven't started the work yet.
