Can anyone help out by leading the C ride tomorrow please? We currently don’t have a ride leader for this group and that’d be a real shame if the C ride didn’t go out for the all club meet up Solstice ride.
You don’t have to be a ride leader to help out, nor is there any obligation to do another after this one (unless you want to!)
Please reply here or let Paul Seaborn or myself know.

This is the A group route for the Winter Solstice ride to Waterperry. We're aiming to arrive at Waterperry around 10:45ish to meet up with the other two groups for tea and cake.
Feel free to join this ride if you can maintain 17mph when riding in a group, although I prefer not to view this as a target speed during the winter and we'll adjust as the conditions dictate. But rest assured, we won't be hanging around!
The forecast for Sunday is looking cold but in the positive numbers so not freezing. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Please check the home page/FB/this post for updates in case the forecasts are revised.
Hope to see you on Sunday morning.

The Met Office have issued three yellow weather warnings for our region of snow, ice and wind (I believe the ones for famine and pestilence are next week). As such we don’t think it’s a great idea to run the club rides tomorrow as we’d like our members and their bikes to stay upright and in tact.
See you next Sunday instead for the whole club winter solstice ride

Whoa! How did that last Friday of the month sneak up so soon? Sorry for the late posting but it caught me out this month.
Appreciate the Christmas meal is next Friday and this is a late posting but thought I’d post anyway in case there are any members who’d like to have the regular meet up in The Mitre from 7:30pm.

Unfortunately we have no ride leaders available on Sunday 22nd October, with the exception of the 100 miler being lead by @PaulW
Even if you're not a ride leader, if you are able to help out and lead a ride, please could you get in touch with Paul Seaborn (@paulS) or myself as soon as possible today.
To confirm this is regarding the lack of ride leaders for the normal length A, B and C rides - the 100 miler is currently going ahead as planned.

With only 66 days to go until the big festive day (at the time of writing not necessarily at the time of you reading this, but I digress) it's time to think about getting together as a whole club for some seasonal celebrations.
Once again, we'll be holding the Swan Wheelers Christmas meal at Prezzo in Buckingham. This will take place on Friday 1st December 2017 from 7:30pm.
Coming? Great. You'll need to make sure you secure your place by clicking on the Yes, I'm attending button at the top of this post in the forum by the very latest of 17th November.
In addition, you'll need to pay a non refundable deposit of £5 to a member of the committee (that's either @lucyS , @paulS, @PaulW, @StephenT or me @MattH ).
Look forward to seeing you there.

With temperatures rocketing to a balmy 18 degrees this Sunday, it’s shorts on and off to the Milk Shed for an ice cream (or one of their fantastic bacon sarnies).
The planned speed for this ride is at the bottom of the A bracket at 17mph, but we may get some free speed increases in the group.
Please let me know if you are joining this ride by hitting the “Yes, I’m attending” button.
Cheers

Due to the Champion System factory closing for a couple of days (planned - Sorry I didn’t spot that before!) the order window has now been extended until 13th October.
They appear to be offering free delivery (usually 5% of your order total) so it’s a great time to order some club kit.
Check out how in this post

With winter approaching it's time to open the Swan Wheelers kit ordering shop.
It's open now and will be until 8th October 2017.
Our kit is manufactured and supplied by Champion System.
Ordering is done online via https://eucustom.champ-sys.com/Login/en-GB/Default.aspx but please read the attached guidance notes carefully first!
Since our last order, they've updated there website and made it easier to figure out what type of jersey, bib short, etc to choose. Check out https://champsys.uk/pages/choose-collection (scroll to the bottom of the page).

We're holding the next committee meeting on Wednesday 13th September.
Is there something you would like to raise with the committee? A query, a grumble, a suggestion for a change, an event or something new? Perhaps you have some feedback on the new ride bands now they've been in place for a few weeks?
Add an item to the agenda by doing one of the following by the evening of Tuesday 12th September by:
- Replying to this thread
2.Sending me a message via the forum
3.Emailing the committee via swanwheelerscc@gmail.com
4.Speaking to a member of the committee (@PaulW , @StephenT , @lucyS , @paulS or me @MattH) on a club ride.
Cheers,
Matt

Hi @Wolfgang and @PatH
It's on the agenda for the committee meeting next week. I expect it to be open for the last couple of weeks in September which means (provided we hit the min order of 10 garments) it'll be in your hands for the end of October.
Cheers
Matt

We’ve postponed the midweek ride (Wed 27th Dec) due to an unfavourable weather forecast. If things improve and people are keen we’ll look to reschedule for later in the week - probably Friday. Watch this space.
