If you can survive the potholed road to the airfield it's a great place to stop!
Please remember that you are supposed to walk your bikes across the airfield apron.There is a back entrance to the airfield from the south west however it can get boggy in the wet and isn't tarmac.

the standard rule is usually if you haven't got them, you ride at the back. I wouldn't have thought we need to enforce mudguards exactly as most club riders realise that it's as much for them as the other riders in the group. It's just courteous more than anything else.
I ride with them but try and make it even simpler by not riding in the rain!! ;-)
It's going to be hot and sunny, don't forget the sun cream!
