Pleased to see the seven of us set-off in the pouring rain💦 Well I think that was worth a soaking guys and hope you enjoyed Waterperry even if they had a power outage and pleased that they still provided us with if only tea an cakes, still worth it ah. Pleased that you enjoyed the route even in those conditions but at least we had some sun ☀️ at the end. So thanks to James T, Guy, Nik, Jeremy, Laurent for the company and to Simon also who only planned to ride to Marsh before heading home. Will look to head that way again on my next lead utilising other roads #loveit

It's not looking to good weather wise again, rain forecast hopefully it'll change?
thought I'd push the distance this week so planned a southerly 50 miler to Waterperry Gardens for our stop and back home, it is over rolling terrain but not that difficult. Weather???https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/14526870

Nothing posted as yet so here goes for an example to Quainton and back..
Takes you from the Swan Pool out to Stratton Audley via Gawcott. Poundon, Marsh onto and through Blackthorn, Piddington, Ludgershall over the A41 towards Grendon Underwood first right down the back lanes heading for a Quainton loop, stop at the G&D 26 mls in. Ride back via the Railway Centre then right and head towards Botolph Claydon straight on (left!) after the climb out of the village then turn right for Steeple Claydon, Padbury Mill, Gawgott then home

Hi all again, for this Sunday's Step-Up ride I'm planning to head for Waddesdon and try to beat the rain, yep you've guest it, the forecast is for some of the wet stuff, so please watch this space..
This one is heading in a zig, zagging around to make it to Coffee94 and back home. So out to Gawcott, Poundon, Marsh, Grendon, Quainton to TEA 25 miles in. Heading back via Botolph, Calvert then head for the old Seven Stars (yes that horror!) road to Preston, Gawcott then home.

There are many other routes that does not include Brill.. so here is a couple.
1) a flattish! 43 one this one down via Chetwode, Poundon, Marsh round to Grendon to Quainton and the Waddesdon for tea, route back to the Claydons to Calvert, Charndon onto and up the rubbish road to Preston Bissett then home..

2) for an alternative 45 hillier ride try this one for size same route out to Marsh then on to Piddington to Ludgershall, up the first climb to Ashendon then the climbs/rolling to the Winchendon to Waddesdon through the estate to the cafe. This has a direct run home through the Claydons, Padbury, Gawcott and home. An Alternative run home head to Quainton, Oving, Winslow and back..

to days ride: a hard ride out into the wind today so ok on way back plus bit of a disaster with Tim's problems, gear change cable, broken chai and off so did it on my own, well from Tingewick! rode straight through with no stop.

hello again fellow Swan riders, as you'd expect with the a wind out of the NE I'll be leading you that way, other than that it's looking a little chilly and dry, yip-he!!! we will be heading for Salcey Forest but with a twist to the normal routes used in the passed, so this voyage of discovery......
Will be taking us out for some new roads via Gawcott, Padbury, Thornborough, Stony Stratford, Wolverhampton, Hanslope, Tathall End, Stoke Goldington onto our Tea Stop (27m) in the Forest... will be heading back to Stoke Bruerne, Shutlanger, Silverstone and back to Buckingham to finish.
