The route to the Tea Room in the Forest is a little one dimensional with Milton Keynes in the way to the south, although a longer ride through and up to is possible?
So to date the following two routes have been done as shown or mixed...Route one: this one is the shorter of the two at 41 miles there and back with two loops, basically heading for Stoke Bruerne from both directions, Starting out through the town to Maids Moreton (Chackmore can be used) on to Lillingstone Lovell past Wicken Woods, Paulesbury, Pury End, Shutlanger, through Stoke Bruerne to Hartwell over the M1 to the tea stop... retrace back to Stoke Bruerne.. turn left before the canal bridge to the A508 for a mile dash then right off to Alderton on to Paulesbury, return to Wicken to loop through Leckampstead, Maids Moreton and home..
Distance: 41 miles.
Gradient: Rollinghttps://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/12604670
Route 2: a few miles longer this one as you head out up Stowe Avenue to and through Silverstone out and over the A43 heading for Whittlebury but turn left for Shutlanger and once through take the left at the x-roads for Blisworth, take the right, then right in the village heading for the A508 where you go left (take care as this is a busy road) down passed the speed camera and right for Quinton, again right as you head for the forest (5 miles) tea stop. The return as above as you head through Hartwell to Stoke Bruerne over the canal on to Shutlanger, continue through over the A5 heading for Whittlebury but turn left for Pury End/Paulesbury and as above back to Wicken, Leckampstead, Maids Moreton and home..
Distance: 44 miles
Gradient: Rolling

Was surprised to hear that this one was missing so here goes.
We seem to use it in the winter time when the prevailing winds are chilling us from the North East, were the log burner comes into its own, it has a good menu with good selection of cakes & buns, on last trip the bacon butties went down well.
We really must try try to get there on some warmer sunny days sometime me thinks. It is good for plus 40 mile rides really, please see route adviser for a couple of sample routes

Hi all, Well what do we do for this weeks ride with the weather the way it still is?
Whilst it's forecasted to remain cold and near to freezing, if it's dry I'll be happy to get out and go for a spin, wheels down that is!
As no one came out to play last week so is anyone interested at all this week?
Wind from the south so will head out that way, the George & Dragon, Waddesdon or .....Paul

A goodly number, 9 of us today to lead out to the busy and packed Milk Shed for our mid-ride break, It's been 6 yrs for me and happy to have re-found it... thankfully the weather was a lot better than last week, out into the wind and 😎 on this flattish route especially the road back from Islip to Ambrosden allowing for a general sprint speed up with help from the wind, 4 unscheduled stops unfortunately on way back with punctures (2) hard luck James.... apologies to those who found the pace a bit hard, will do better next time promise to keep the pace where should be👍🚴👍🚵

Just used my new Long Sleeve jacket and have to say it's a good quality garment.
Noticed that on the sleeves the Swans W CC is no longer printed - not that's a problem for me but the red/black coloured cuff is also missing, it would be good get that added back next time please? Cheers, Paul 😊
2nd thoughts maybe red arms..!.?Struggled getting clean from muddy splatters up the arms mainly, so second time got the magic soap out (vanish) works a treat.... bugger missed a bit!

Good to see 4 lads make the step-up today, Alistair, Nik, Tom & James D as 8 off inc. Paul T, Guy, Simon (turned back for home at Deanshanger) heading out on this cold and frosty morning. Soon halted for puncture (me) 3 mls in then we a mechanical to sort (Ali) on run to Nash all was well until we to the end of the Hogshaw link, some black ice catching first Nik then me out as we hit the deck, nothing serious to report maybe my kit, see how it is after it's washed. Green Dragon now in better hands with Katrina (ex Jennies) at the helm. All made it back from there with no further incidents to report as the weather improved further some what.
