Update: I’m assuming that you all will not fancy riding today like me, so whilst it’s cancelled for today hopefully some would like to join me on Friday morning instead? Tap the Attending Button please. If your not attending now please book out, thanks
For this week I thought I'd use the one ride format for this week again with a slight distance stretch! I'm expecting a couple of groups heading for Harley Equestrian for what will be a long time since we've visited, as it no longer opens on Sunday's, so all the route details are below as usual so if you are up for this week's offering please tap the attendees button as normal.
Hopefully we will be out with double numbers so please come prepared to help to 2nd ride leading a group for me - TiA.The Garmin Route is https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/55936420
See you at the Car Park as usual
Paul
PS: thinking ahead we have a couple of available Ride Lead slots weeks in June to fill, so if any of you would like to help me (us!), please check out the dates on the RLS/Club Website/RIDE tab - thanks

It's the 'Gawcott Challenge Cup' time again for 2024. As before, it's simply, you just turn up at the Crown pub in Gawcott, ride the route as fast and as safely as you can, and then reward your effort with a tasty beverage, mine's a nice Beer what is is yours?
We have a different schedule for this year with one more chance to see how we are progressing, we can all give some encouragement as we partake in a tasty beverage at the end. The most improved rider will be awarded the fabled "Gawcott Challenge Cup" (Current Holder is Squeaky) To view last years efforts please have a look at http://www.swanwheelers.bike/swans-tt-challenge-cup.html
UPDATE: use this link to view the resultsRemember: It's not about Her even not about Him, the 'Race of Truth' is all about YOU.
Safety: first and foremost this is an open road event; so please be aware of other road users, take the time to familiarise yourself by riding the route before hand when ever that suits you before attempting your hot lap; noting, potholes and failed surfaces etc. T junction- as the route turns left with traffic from the right, be prepare to stop.
Route
This years route is the same last years events with a rolling start outside the The Crown Pub, and will finish at the Lenborough road junction, Strava Segment name: The Swan Section Distance 6.45 Miles and your times recorded on Stava will be recorded accordingly. If you have questions then please to ask.
