Another 32 mile Leisure ride for you this week. It's not as bad as it sounds, as we will be stopping at the ever popular Thrift Farm cafe after 18 miles to rest your legs, enjoy your refreshments and of course conversation. The pace will be steady to let you enjoy the journey, rather than the final destination.
No doubt, there will be points where you want to streach your legs to test yourself out, thats fine no-one wants to stop your fun, but please do not rush out of sight, as I will be riding at the pace of the slowest rider. If riding off the front...it is recommended that you download the route, so that you do not miss a turning.
Route: Gawcott, Lenborough, Padbury, Coombs, Thornborough, Nash, Gt.Horewood, Little Horewood, Mursley, 18miles - Thrift Farm (cafe), Whaddon, The Weald, Passenham, Deanshanger, Wicken, Leckhamstead, Chetwode, Maids Moreton, Buckingham.
https://www.strava.com/routes/21337715
Weather: Is looking good, mostly sun with scattered cloud developing, warm rather than hot. Wind moderate-light from the West.
For you own enjoyment do bring a drink for the journey (we will be stopping en-route to rehydrate), maybe an energy bar or banana. Please carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit to suit your bike. Lastly, do wear a helmet! - you will not be allowed to ride with us if not.
I do hope you will join me to explore the countryside around us. My aim is to keep you all safe, and be on hand to sort out any problems that may arise (but generally don't).

There is no need to do anything on this now Reva. Sorry for messing you around, but Fiona has been told today is her rest day and she has to work the next 11 days, until her return to Paderborn.
Thank you for your earlier offer, just a shame we could not make it work for her.
Kind regards
Malcolm -

She has her pedels and riding kit with her. I will be picking her up from Newport Pagnell.Best regards,

Received a request from a visitor who would like to ride with us for most of August is there anyone with a spare 54cm bike, who is willing to offer a hand of friendship to a fellow cyclist.
In her words...
Hello,I'm Fiona from Germany and I'm in Buckingham from the 5th until the 23rd of August because I have to work there for my company.
It would be great to cycle in that time as I do it in Germany, so I'm searching for a club.
Do you know a bike-rental or something like that so I could rent a bike about that time? Or do you have one in your club?
I'm at Strava, too. You can find me as "Fiona SchrΓΆder" from Paderborn. I've requested your Strava Club.
