Hi Chris,
I agree with Guy, take a sound bite from the attendees on the day, you may have a group that are ready for the challenge...But be prepared with options if you find that some are overawed with the combination.
It is not criticism Chris, It is meant to be sharing our knowledge of the riders.See you Sunday!

Wind is from the NE-E this Sunday so a good opportunity to ride out to Salcey Forest to enjoy a good cafe, and a following wind home. It is likely to be a warm one, so make sure you bring a drink and some rehydration tablets, if you suffer like I do, from cramp.

Hope to see you for another 14 mph ride to a new location for some of you.
Again the policy will be to ride at the pace of the slowest rider over 14mph average. This policy is to allow new riders to the group to get up to speed, without feeling undue pressure. We have all been there so I am sure you will understand. -

Another 14mph ride for the new B group, to help get into shape for the season.
We will be heading South this week as the wind, although light will be coming from the SSE, and keeping clear of Maids Moreton/Lechampstead to avoid a clash with runners taking part in the Buckingham Half Marathon.Route: Gawcott, Lenborough, Padbury, Coombs, Thornborough, Nash, Great Horwood, Little Horwood, Winslow, Granborough, North Marston, Quainton (G&D cafe), Edgecott, Marsh Gibbon, Poundon, Chetwode, Gawcott, Buckingham.

Elevation 1935ft (590mtr)Weather forecast: Partial Sun, 15-18 deg C, Wind light 7-8 mph SSE.
The longest ride I have planned so far, but no major climbs and the weather should be warm and bright, so should be a nice day for it.

I would like to invite those who have been riding in the Leisure ride who wish to go a little faster, and those who have taken to riding outside of the club to join me in forming a new group of riders, riding at 14mph.
For the first outing, I though a circular ride around the South of Buckingham to Twyford Village Store cafe would be a good start. Avoiding long stretches into the wind with rolling, rather than long climbs. I cannot do anything about the weather unfortunately, so wrap up in long Jerseys and trousers, but it will be dry!
Route: Maids Moreton, Leckhampton, Thornborough, Nash, Gt.Horewood, Winslow, Verney Jct., Middle Claydon, Calvert, Charndon, Twyford[(cafe)23miles], Poundon, Chetwode, Preston Bissett, Gawcott, Buckingham.
https://www.strava.com/routes/12925252
Distance: 35 miles (57km) @14mph = 2hrs 30, plus cafe stop.
Weather forecast: Cloudy 7-8 deg, Precipitation 10%, Wind 14-17 mph from the NE.
We have adjusted the speed categories to allow a better migration from leisure into the B group, B is now for any riders who average 14-16mph. The A ride has been reclassified as 16+ and all the previous group have moved into this category, to make room for you.
So, please come along and ride with us. -
Hi Stuart,
I will take the Bib Shorts if not promised elsewhere, thank you!
