Another chance for a gentle ride to get those legs working again after a long and icy winter. Don't worry if you are not on best form...I am not either, so lets get ready for the Summer together.
We are not venturing far from Buckingham, there are plenty of opportunites to cut out sections to shorten the ride if required.Route: Gawcott, Preston Bissett, Chetwode, Stratton Audley, Stoke Lyne, Hethe,

Wanted...company required for a warm sunny, easy paced leisure ride to Twyford cafe.
Route: Chackmore, Shalstone, Shelswell, Hethe, Stratton Audley, Poundon, Twyford cafe, Steeple Claydon, Herds Hill, Padbury brook, Lenborough, Gawcott, Buckingham.

All in all a perfect day to get yourself in trim for the Summer with a gentle ride of about 2 1/2hrs travelling, plus coffee stop.

Start of the season easy Leisure ride to give those legs a gentle try out after a long winter break. Around Buckingham, stopping at Stowe cafe. Plenty of opportunity to bolt for home if the weather turns bad. So, come along and give it a try. I promise I am not in any condition to drop anyone.

Loop around North to Turweston cafe, with a few undulations to give the legs a bit of a work out.
Route: Maids Moreton - Bycell - Lillingston Dayrell/Lovell - Paulespury - Pury end - Silverstone - Slapton - Wappenham - Syresham - Biddlesden - Turweston (cafe) - Westbury - Finmere - Water Stratford - Stowe - Chackmore - Buckingham.

Weather forcast: Dry 10% reducing to <5%; Wind WSW 8 reducing to 4 (gusting 14-12); Temp 5 rising to 7 deg.***I will ride at the pace of the slowest rider. If some wish to push on ahead and regroup at the cafe please let me know your intentions, and make sure you download the route.
There are opportunities to cut corners for a slower group, which could be utilised to bring the group back together, or reduce the mileage. So, do not be put off by the distance, come along and we can sort something out on the day.***

Heading out to Kizzies cafe, Lower Heyford at a nice steady 15mph to encourage some of the Leisure group to venture out to pastures new.
Distance: 45miles (71.4km)
Duration: 3 hrs cycling, plus cafe stop (@15mph)
Weather: Cold but dry 5-9 deg. so wrap up warm. Sunny with wind from the WNW at 12-15 mph.Route: Chackmore - Finmere - Shelswell - Tusmore - Souldern - Somerton - Upper Heyford - Lower Heyford - Steeple Aston - Middle Aston - North Aston - Somerton - Ardley - Bucknell - Bainton - Stratton Audley - Chetwode - Gawcott - Buckingham.

Hi everyone,
I am taking over this ride from Pat, who will lead the Sunday B ride instead.
Meeting at 9:15 to commence at 9:30 from the Swan Pool.
Planning on a gentle ride out from Buckingham via Gawcott to Verney Jct., Winslow, Mursley to the cafe at thrift Farm. Returning via Whaddon, Deanshanger, Bycell Rd, Chackmore to Buckingham.Distance: 35 miles (56k)
Duration: 2.5 hours @ 14mph plus cafetime.
Weather: looking reasonable with even a bit of sun in the morning. Temp 10-14 feeling like 8-12. Wind from the WSW 10-15 gusting 23-27. Less than 5% chance of rain (if you can believe the Met office any more).Looking forward to riding with you again tomorrow.

It was a tough ride back against the wind. Maybe not the smartest direction to have finished on. But the route was a change from going South and the cafe was good.
