My ride yesterday took me past Jenny's Cafe in Brackley so I decided it would be a good place to stop as it had been mentioned on the Cycle Cafe Network. They are cycle friendly and do not mind if you take your bikes in, although if there are a large number it would be more difficult. There are a few seats out the front and a seating area out the back for about 15 -20 people. They do a limited range of cakes, about half a dozen including a very good carrot cake and the usual cafe foods as well. The price is very reasonable, £3.50 for a piece of cake and a cup of tea.
Now that the other place in the farm shop (I forget its name offhand) near Turweston has closed, this may make a suitable alternative.

I am away for the next two weeks and will be unable to access the internet for most of the time. Do you have any idea when this order window is likely to open please and for how long?

A great ride with a couple of enforced detours but great leader, great company and having a few of the fast team pushing the pace at times (no, I did not keep,up with them) it was an excellent ride. Many thanks.

Righ on Stony Stratford High Street almost opposite the church. Stopped there a few times. Chocolate cake is to die for. Good coffee and reasonably priced. You can take your bikes inside but space is limited so probably best to phone ahead. Every time I have been there there have been other clubs coming and going.

If anyone is interested in going for a 40+ mile ride on Saturday 19th March can you please let me know on 07878009471 as I cannot go on Sunday. Probably something like Winslow, Singleborough Stewkley, Wing, Soulbury, Bletchley, Stony Stratford (and stop for cake and drink) then Beachampton, Leckhampstead, Akeley, Buckingham. Leave Buckingham 09.00 ish.
