This is a Ladies only Ride
This week we are staying local and avoiding the cross rail and HS2 works. We head out of Buckingham taking quiet roads to Leckhampstead, through Wiken, Deanshanger, Puxley, Lillingstone Lovell, Lillingstone Dayrell, Stowe castle and into Stowe National Trust for a well-earned cup of coffee and cake, of course. Then it is just a short roll back into BuckinghamAs always there are some hills but don’t panic, we ride at a pace to suit you with lots of rests to catch our breath.
Helmets must be worn, and you are advised to carry a spare inner tube to suit your tyres, as they vary, and others may not fit your bike. Better safe than sorry.
The Weather has turned chilly please dress accordingly
Please bring money for coffee and of course a sense of fun and laughter. -

BREEZE THROUGH THE WINTER TO THE GEORGE AND DRAGON AT QUAINTON
Date – Sunday 22nd December
Time – 8.45 departure
Venue – The Swan Pool, London Road, Buckingham
Paid parking and toilets available at the pool
This week we have been invited by Swan Wheelers Cycle Club of Buckingham to join them for their Winter Solstice whole club ride to Quainton. We will have our own Breeze route but will meet the members of the club for free refreshments at Quainton. This gives everyone a chance to celebrate cycling and meet socially with our very supportive local cycling club.
This is a flattish route with a few undulations. We head out thorough Gawcott passing Preston Bissett, Twyford and Calvert Jubilee Nature Reserve and into Quainton where we stop for refreshments at the George and Dragon. We make our way home through Botolph Claydon, East Claydon, up Lenborough Hill and back into Gawcott before returning to the Swan 30 miles in total.
As always there are some hills but don’t panic, we ride at a pace to suit you with lots of rests to catch our breath.
Helmets must be worn, and you are advised to carry a spare inner tube to suit your tyres, as they vary, and others may not fit your bike. Better safe than sorry.
Hope I can show you some more safe riding lanes and possibly a new watering hole for you to visit. Travelling at a pace you set!
