Proposed IOW c route - an early stop at chessell pottery and then at Freshwater. It’s a little undulating but a manageable distance - should be a nice day out 🙏🏻👍

If you want to plan the route and lead then there’s a vacancy. The benefit of this is that you can choose exactly where to go. Only offered to plan in the absence of an existing route and RL. Thought it might help - no issues either way.
Maybe discuss with the other c’s

I can plan and post a c route including coffee options obvs. Been there a few times so have a bit of an idea … ish!
I can’t guarantee I’m riding so don’t want to volunteer then bail. Obviously if I can ride I will.
Maybe @KimMcM and @KatieR and @Melanie7775 can just follow the route and enjoy the ride without a specified ride leader as such?

Leisure ride to whittlebury this Sunday.

This weekend is a meet up ride where all groups meet at the Forge cafe at Whittlebury.
A little undulating 24 miler but we’ll go at a steady pace and no one get left behind.

Please wear a helmet, bring water and a spare tube.

An ideal ride for anyone that’s not been out for a while or wants an intro to Swans CC.

This is our 1st ‘training’ session and due to popular demand it’s going to be a group riding session - think ‘through and off’, drafting, chaingang skills! Tour de Westbury style!
Meet at Westbury at 18.30 - quick chat about what we are aiming for.
Groups according to how many riders we have and we’ll use the straight road past the sugar factory.

Rob and John have kindly offered their time and knowledge - they are not trainers - we are just trying to offer a fun, informative and useful session to improve our club skills! All riders are welcome (especially experienced riders to support this)
Afterwards hopefully the cafe is open for anyone that wants a drink and post ride social.
Plenty of parking for those that don’t want to ride there!

A great opportunity to ride through the lovely estate - weather looks good.
All groups meeting so an opportunity to step up for all or half of the ride. We ride at 17+mph.

Route added below. I have set our venue as Fltr coffee Bicester as Betsy Bus may push the boundaries of salubrious - although who doesn’t love a Wickes car park?!
We may get a little soggy amd we’ll defo get some wind.

This Sundays C ride is to Hogshaw Farm to meet up with the other club rides.
We’ll aim for 13-15mph with no one left behind. Ride as a group amd keep smiling!
Bring a tube, pump and dosh for coffee. Looks like a waterproof might be wise unfortunately. On the plus side the wind will blow us home and it’s not a lumpy one this week as you’re stuck with me and lumps are not my forte!!
