Our Wednesday ride (if it goes ahead) will take us to a new venue, Rectory Farm, Wappenham after 22.7 miles to take coffee and cake in their tipi.
The ride is 36.5 miles with 1,330 feet of ascent:

Unfortunately, the BBC and Met weather forecasts at present are giving conflicting messages, with the BBC forecast showing heavy rain all morning, the Met one more promising but it keeps changing. If it does look like there will be persistent rain then the ride will be cancelled by no later than 8.00 Wednesday (unless someone else wants to lead the ride and does not mind getting wet? If so please message me by Tuesday evening).
If we go ahead then please come suitably prepared for the possibility of wet weather.

There is likely to be rain around so come prepared and if the forecast deteriorates then a decision to cancel may need to be made and if so this will be taken before 8.00 on Wednesday. The course has not been pre-checked but the roads are likely to be wet and possibly treacherous in parts so ride with particular care taking account of the fact that some potholes could be covered in water. Also please use mudguards.
Meet at Swan Pool from 9.15 for 9.30 departure.

Our ride will take us to the cafe at Harley Equestrian Centre. They are having some work done there so there will only be outside seating but with promising weather hopefully that is ok for everyone.

Our ride takes us to Mursley Farm shop and cafe and should be better weather than that forecast for Wednesday.
As there will probably be fewer riders the shorter 36 miler route is proposed (unless sufficient numbers for 2 rides).
https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/283981373
If however there are enough riders to require 2 rides and a demand for the longer one then we can have this as well, so suggest you download both rides to allow for both options:
The route is 41 miles, stopping at 22 miles. It is a fairly hilly ride with 2,351 feet of ascent (according to Garmin).

Wednesday’s ride to Hogshaw Farm cafe is 38.5 miles in total, stopping at 21 miles and with a total ascent for the ride of 1,142 feet. (For those who did the Sunday B ride this ride was produced last week prior to the Sunday ride being published which also went to HF cafe).

North Farm lane up from Kingswood is still officially closed but cyclists can get through; take care the other side of the bridge where the road is particularly uneven. To make up there is a stretch of new asphalt on Shipton Lee the other side of the HS2 works.
The current weather forecasts suggest there may be some showers and with a westerly breeze.
Meet at 9.15 for 9.30 departure.

Wednesday’s rides will take us to a new cafe, for some, Hogshaw Farm cafe. As it is the Easter school holidays the cafe may be busy but we are expected.
Owing to the road works in the area we will have to thread our way around them.

https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/256025866
42 miles, stopping at 26 miles:

The weather forecasts are currently predicting rain again for some of the time at least so waterproofs and mudguards are advised. There is also the prediction of gusty winds from the south. If the weather looks like it will be heavy rain all of the time then a decision as to whether to go ahead will be made early Wednesday morning.
