This week looks set fair for the time of year to visit the Whittlebury Forge, which benefits from ample indoor seating and well away from HS2 and Cross Rail.
The route is 36.5 miles with The Forge at 21 miles.

This weeks Wednesday ride will be a 36 miler out to the Croughton Tea Rooms for coffee, cakes and possibly the best bacon sandwich in the area.
The weather looks to be mild with the possibility of light rain showers, although a light westerly breeze will help power us home.
Please make sure you carry the usual tools, water, lunch money and given the possibility of showers, the time for mud guards has definitely arrived.

Hi @StuartMcMahon, at mile 14 the mapping has taken a little 200yd detour, but we'll stay on the Stoke Rd, as you can see, until we get to knock Lane.

This week we're on the hunt for some fresh patches of tarmac again, out to Roade followed by a pleasant café/pub stop by the canal at Stoke Bruerne.

Hi Stewart,
Just a note, the route goes through Silverstone, then up Winter Hills road. That's a dead-end with a gate through a field and wood to Whittlebury. The route planner app should have grabbed the Whittlebury Road at the two mini roundabouts. It doesn't add mach mileage, but saves you getting to the top of Winter Hills with all the dog walkers and having to turn round and loop back.

This week I thought we'd show our support for the new Forge café in Whilttlebury.
The ride is 35 miles, with the café stop at 19 miles for coffee and cake.

This week I thought we'd head out to a firm favourite, the George & Dragon at Quainton, for Eccles cake and Battenberg.
Its 36 miles, no notable climbs and some guaranteed new tarmac stretches.
The weather looks splendid, with sun, some heat and a gentle NE breeze to keep us cool.So if you fancy a mid week jaunt in the sun to see the famous Quainton white windmill, then please hit the "yes - I'm attending" button above.

This week we'll be heading to Culworth for a 39 miler, with refreshments at The Red Lion (19 miles), and a gentle NW breeze will help supplement the coffee and cake on the home leg.

This weeks Midweek Ride destination is back for the first time this year - The Red Lion in Culworth.
At 37 miles, with coffee and cake at 17 miles.
