A few days ago I was waiting to cross the A5 just north of Towcester .
it just so happened that the A5 was moderately busy at the time I wanted to cross, eventually seeing a gap appear in the long line of vehicles I went for it!
On reaching the crown of the road I heard a loud report as my rear tyre rapidly deflated, ( Oh gosh I thought this is rather risky) with the irate sounds of horns ringing in my ears I managed to reach the safe haven of the far grass verge and with shaking fingers effect a repair to the inner tube.

The moral to this storey is : When crossing busy highways consider every eventuality with the view that Sod's Law is all encompassing.
It may just save a hot wash!

Hi Folks, it looks as if I will be unable to attend club rides, (or any other rides come to that) for a while due to a possible severed Tibial tendon.
I will still be taking a close interest in the clubs activities but obviously be unable to take part for the near future .
However I will try and meet up for coffee and cake and gossip periodically.
