  • Turn right of the Eydon Road down the track to the right to find the Country Lifestyle Shop, within the main shop it has a nice small coffee room, also has a good outside seating area.. and bike rack too... has a good menu including a good selection of cakes and beverages.

its a nice 20 mile ride distance too through the Northants rolling countryside..

  • Went there with the medium ride led by @PaulW today. Slightly pricey (£5 for tea and cake) but excellent food (Victoria sponge and bacon sandwich enjoyed by our group today) and endless refills on the tea made it a definite recommendation.

Slightly obscure to find - not in Woodford itself, turn out of Woodford on Station Road, climb up to two railway bridges (both of which cross over abandoned tracked bed) and turn right down a track (signed) immediately after the second railway bridge.

  • I'm surprised you paid £5 for tea and cake James. I was there today and paid £5 for coffee and slab of Bakewell tart. I have to add that the coffee is the best for miles.
