• Interesting article here on road.cc regarding the use of dual carriageway A roads as time trial courses.
There was a petition recently to Bucks County Council to ban cyclists from these roads but thankfully there wasn't much support. If you read the article the reasons for the petition are simply victim blaming.

There is now a counter petition for the county council to start maintaining the dual A roads in better condition and enforcing other road users to pay attention to cyclists. Already its attracted a good number of votes but they need more in order to get the council to debate it.

I would encourage you all to sign the petition and also promote to others.

  • Thank you for this one and I was there on the day and due to go out later on (F11) and have had a mental struggled following that tragic accident since but as they say better to get "back in the saddle" and that has been done now, a TT that is, but I do have an opportunity to get back on the F11 next month and still considering it?
I read the petition and makes perfect sense to me and yes as you may expect I've signed it.

  • Good for you Paul to put this tragedy to the back of your mind and continue with your TTs. And yes I've signed the petition.

  • I hope I have not contravened any niceties, but I have copied the above petition to the A5 Rangers Forum.
