  • Dictated by the wind direction, and the availability of coffee stops open on a Sunday, this B ride will be going to Spokes, Upper Heyford. The course has no significant climbs but there are a few lumps and bumps along the way. The weather looks okay but the roads could still be wet.

Distance : 44 miles, stopping at 22 miles
    Ascent : 1,009 feet
    Pace : 15 - 16 mph, sticking together
    Route : https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/142401855
Start : We meet, as usual, at Swan Pool at 8:45 am.

If you wish to join the ride then please hit the 'I'm attending' button and come prepared with money for refreshments and spare inner tubes, etc.

  • That would be 1000 Garmin units of climbing and 15 summer mph!

  • Hi @ChrisP! I notice that you intend to go left onto Banbury road and then cross it the Stoke Lyne rather than the usual right turn that we have done on previous rides. Have you gone that way on your bike before? Banbury road is quite fast and busy and I was wondering how easy it is to cross it into Stoke Lyne.
    Kind regards,
    Kirsty.

  • Hi @KirstyC, I have done it once before and it is okay but if you would rather go the other way then I can change it.

  • Okay , thanks! Maybe discuss it in the morning? I don’t want to put others out if they want to go that way etc.
    c u in the morning! 👍

  • No problem. We won't do anything you're uncomfortable with.

  • Thank you! 😊

  • Kirsty, Chris,
I'll go with whatever suits you both.
