Interesting to hear that BC use the Bowl - is that a series they do there?

I've been thinking about the other "Spring Cup" RR post as maybe a challenging enter point into the discipline?
So I had a chat with me mate Trev for further information on this subject, he is a member of the LVRC (League of Veteran Racing Cyclists) ".....provides racing for cyclists who are veterans. To be eligible to join you must be 40 years of age or more; the League is open equally to male and female bike racers.....".
If you fancy further info go to http://www.lvrc.org.uk/ and we are located in Region 7. For examples of what they are about have a look at the 2015 calendar and I'm told that there will be more events next year? You will see that there was a few open road events available and for me more importantly they use the MK Bowl on a Tuesday evening during the season.
So my thoughts are that if you fancy entering the fray of this discipline, the hustle & bustle that is road racing that the MK Bowl venue would be the better place to getting started? That's before entering any full blown road events.
The LVRC is I'm reliable informed also a cheaper alternative to join and race entries than British Cycling who also use the MK Bowl but on a Thursday.
