Wind seems pretty light so have taken the opportunity to go slightly further, looping around Milton Keynes, although with only one climb to speak of (Great Brickhill) it is not particularly hilly.
We head south from Buckingham via Winslow, Stewkley, Great Brickhill, Aspley Guise and Cranfield, with a stop at the Bike Bus (Bourne End). Back via Newport Pagnell, Haversham, Stony Stratford and Deanshanger.
Any B riders looking to step up will be most welcome!
Length: 56 miles / 89km, with the stop at 32 miles / 51 km.
Ascent: approx 600m / 1900 ft.
Pace 17-19 mph (no dropped riders).Reminders: bring a mask, socially distance, meeting point A and click Yes, I'm Attending if coming.
Hope to see you on Sunday. Please let me know if any questions or any problems with the route!

@PatH would be great to see you if you can make it, was good riding together last week
@Phil_B shame you can't make it but understand. Ally should be focusing on his cycling! No doubt see you at some point. -
It's going to be cold, so a fairly straightforward route with a stop at Culworth Forge. And the rolling Northants roads will keep us warm.
North out of Buckingham - through Silverstone, Blakesley, Preston Capes, Priors Marston, south from Priors Hardwick, skirting the Boddingtons and up the hill at Culworth to our stop. From Culworth, head east to Weedon Lois and home on familiar roads through Syresham and on Welsh Lane.
Length: 50 miles / 80km, with the stop at 33 miles / 53km.
Ascent: approx 650m / 2100 ft.
Pace 17-19 mph (no dropped riders).Reminders: bring a mask, socially distance, meeting point A, click I'm Attending if coming.

Meeting point A, which is just to the left of the entrance to the Swan Pool car park. Please remember to socially distance (esp. meeting up and at any stop we make) and bring a face mask for the take-away.
Hope to see you on Sunday!

OK, here's the route. We head SW from Buckingham to Stratton Audley, via Middleton Stoney to Lower Heyford, then north through the Astons. We have a brief stint on the B4100 from Souldern to Anyho, then via Charlton to a stop at Limes Farm drive through takeaway. Change of plan (thanks @Malman) to avoid road block: carry on through Greatworth to the Syresham Road, on to Syresham and back along Welsh Lane to home.
Length: 49 miles / 78km, with the stop at 33 miles / 54km.
Ascent: approx 500m / 1700 ft.
Pace c.17 mph (no dropped riders).Reminders: bring a mask, socially distance, meeting point A, click I'm Attending if coming.

Placeholder for A ride on Sunday, route yet to be decided but probably heading south. Any suggestions for take-away cafe stop gratefully received! (but ride leader's choice is final!!)
Please can you click [Yes, I'm attending!] above if you are coming.
Pace will probably be lower end of normal range (c.17mph) - I know some of you have been training hard, others less so, and I am not sure how quick I will be! But it should be good to get out for a group ride.
Meeting point A, which is just to the left of the entrance to the Swan Pool car park. Please remember to socially distance (esp. meeting up and at any stop we make) and bring a face mask for the take-away.
Hope to see you on Sunday!

A SSW wind sends us back down towards Brill, and I couldn't resist a third ascent after our two climbs last week. A different route to last week: out via Steeple Claydon, Grendon Underwood, Brill (up Tramway Hill this week - just one more to complete the set!), Horton and Islip before stopping at the Milk Shed. A shorter route back Bucknell and Stratton Audley.
Remember we get an extra hour in bed Sunday morning, so see you at 8:45 GMT and not 8:45 BST!
Length: 53 miles / 85km, with the stop at 34 miles / 55 km.
Ascent: approx 600m / 2000 ft.

Route now available: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/34179505
Out via Syresham, Blakesley, Pattishall and Roade, with the cafe stop at 30 miles in. Back via Stoke Goldington, Haversham and Stony Stratford. 50 miles total with approx. 600m of ascent. Pace will depend on how we are feeling (and with no dropped riders) but somewhere in the range 17 - 19 mph.
Three rides are heading to Salcey Forest this week (though by different routes) so it is important that we remain in our group and socially distance at the start and the cafe stop
Any problems with the route let me know. Please sign up if coming - look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
