Its a 60 mile round trip but well worth it if your a fan of our stops at the milk shed you'll love this
The Straw Kitchen converted the old barn at the bottom of The Pottery car park into a straw bale building with a lively, relaxed and generous atmosphere.
They now serve up scrumptious brunches and lunches, steaming teas and coffees, mountains of homemade cakes and the best bacon sarni for miles around!Please note that we don't take bookings and operate on a first come first served basis. The kitchen stops serving food 1hr before closing time so get here early to avoid disappointment!

Hi Wheelers,
This weeks route (please read T&Cs of Tim Selby routes, its a suggestion rather than a plan) is a step up ride with a stiff east south easterly and a chill in the air, so we are off with the wind in our faces ( and sides at the start) and the motivation of warm bacon butties at the stop. The ride takes you from the Swan Pool out to Stratton Audley via Gawcott onto and through Blackthorn, Piddington, Ludgershall over the A41 towards Grendon Underwood first right down the back lanes heading for a Quainton loop, stop at the G&D 26 mls in. Ride back with some wind at our backs with a cheeky crosswind in the last little bit, so its via the Railway Centre then right and head towards Botolph Claydon straight on (left!) after the climb out of the village then turn right for Steeple Claydon, Padbury Mill, Gawgott then homehttps://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/15038560

@MattH pretentious in the north east mybe but you've only just stopped calling croissants, moon cakes.

@JamesT,
In any ride we should be going at the speed of the slowest rider as long as they are not way off the pace, so on a fast ride slower than 17 should only become frustrating. I think give one a whirl and alway more than happy to give a few training tips at the cafe stop. -

@MattH black box again very odd

Hi Wheelers,
I was thinking our ride names are not very fun and so don't convey the lovely personality of our club or members and they feel a bit differential. It might be fun and give a not to cycling culture to rename them using cycling terms/phrases:Leasure=Tranquilo
Medium= Tempo
Fast= Full gas or gaz
@StephenT fast rides or @Woods long rides = shut up legsWith brexit looming this could be a our last meaningful connection with Europe as well.

Jesus @Chainreaction I was thinking of a pint of bitter shandy and some fish & Chips. But as a club we support people with problems and if its hard to avoid the special brew and Jägerbombs the club can stage interventions. However as a ride leader I understand my reposiblities to carry a medical kit and with this in mind I have updated my Biddon to deal with DTs ofter the pub stop.

I have no idea how to do that 😳
