SwanWheelers Members Only Group
A few months ago a new Swans Facebook Group was created and this was recently passed over the club to administer. It is a closed group for us members only so please if this is something that you like doing? Not all do of course it's available to join, Its been used generally to post Club Ride write-ups and photographs, but obviously not just limited to these chat subjects.
To join, those already in the group can add their FB Swan friends and others who wish to join just search FB for the group and asked to via the top left tab and approval will follow thereafter, ok.Please see the last committee meeting minutes on this subject for further information.
This group in no way replaces our Forum, this is still the place of choice to view for any club information.

Hello to you velo Swans, a couple of changes for this one if that's ok, no school so leave earlier for 9'ish and a new stop for a Wednesday? Any issue with the time change please let me know and I'll change it.
With the change to the ride speeds recently the mid-week ride is the ride leaders prerogative so I'm going to run this one around the 15mph to try to cater for all but of course will accommodate for those signing on tomorrow.

Thought I'd just formalise this one with a suggested route that will start at Sainsbury's at 9.00 then head for Stowe to collect Pat @PatH at the gates then head for Westbury across to Heath Stoke Lyne to the Barn at SA (20) then onto Marsh, Twyford, Calvert, M Clayton, Padbury Mill, Gawcott and home..

Speed: will depend on who turns up but expecting around the 15 mark..
Weather: looking ok for the morning at least..Paul T is not around this week, Pat is ok and I hope that this will be ok for those that have shown an interest and anyone else that wishes to join us
-
Thank you for this one and I was there on the day and due to go out later on (F11) and have had a mental struggled following that tragic accident since but as they say better to get "back in the saddle" and that has been done now, a TT that is, but I do have an opportunity to get back on the F11 next month and still considering it?
I read the petition and makes perfect sense to me and yes as you may expect I've signed it. -
of late it's just been me with Malcolm @Malman and Paul T @Pdtinsley going out on the Friday as my previous attempts have failed via the forum, so I've been texting between us to set-up and off we go... more than happy to revert back to posting on the forum, and as you say see you Friday or anyone else for that matter, we can sort the direction/ route on the morning or I/we could make it more formal if you like, so what do you boys fancy then, wind from the S/W so.....?
The occasional Saturday is also good for me and PaulT is out and about too.
I like the idea for a more flexible ride calendar as you've suggested for weather related problems, one for the committee to consider at next meeting, sorry @MattH 😂

-
@Phil hi matey have you ridden the proposed route previously at all?
I'm a bit concerned as to whether you can get around the south of the circuit for access out to the woods, worried as it is all appears to be gated up there, will they be locked/closed so no access?
Cheers. Paul -

As I said I'm not around that w/e but would quite happily switch... so if those wishing to do your MTB event would prefer a Sunday then go for it.
I hope you get some responses either way Phil.
