@StewartB, my thinking that using Stowe Ave, Welsh Lane & it’s approaches on a F1 Sunday morning isn’t a great idea, so busy… apologies missed read it!

Up to Round 4 now for the Club's TT Challenge Cup, this follows your efforts over the rounds, with 16 of us now giving it a go maybe its time for some little improvements or maybe someone new to start, there is time to start having a go.
So what you can you achieve? All you need to do is turn up at the Crown pub in Gawcott, ride the route as fast and as safely as you can, and then reward your effort with a tasty beverage of your choice in the garden for that all important catch-up.. The most improved time recorded on Strava will be awarded the fabled "Gawcott Challenge Cup" To view our previous efforts & rules please follow the link to: http://www.swanwheelers.bike/swans-tt-challenge-cup.html
Remember: It's not about 'Her', even not about 'Him', the 'Race of Truth' is all about you & your efforts
Safety: first and foremost this is on the open road event; so please be aware of other road users, take the time to familiarise yourself by riding the route before hand when ever that suits you and noting, all the potholes and the failed surfaces etc. also care is required at the T junction- as the route turns left back to Gawcott with any traffic approaching from your right, be prepare to stop.
Route: Its a rolling start from the The Crown Pub, and finish's at the Lenborough road junction, Strava Segment name: The 'Swan's Section' distance 6.47 miles with your times recorded on Strava (a must) will be applied accordingly.
If you have questions then please to ask.

Round 5 of 7 for the Club's ITT Challenge Cup, so just 2 more rounds to follow this one in August 8th & 22nd so still time to have a go and/or its time for some little improvements or maybe someone new? Note: that any TTT/Group rides will be excluded.
So what you can you achieve? All you need to do is turn up at the Crown pub in Gawcott, ride the route as fast and as safely as you can, and then reward your effort with a tasty beverage of your choice in the garden for a catch-up for a chat about it and more. The most improved time recorded on Strava will be awarded the fabled "Gawcott Challenge Cup" at the next AGM. Strava: we've unfortunately had a couple of efforts not being recorded correctly, not to sure why though! so please ensure that you make the Strava segment a personal favourite and include the segment within your evening ride effort, hopefully this may help?
