Hi Leisure Riders!
This week we meet up with all the other groups at Westbury Community Cafe to have a chat, a cake and a hot beverage. Glynnis has offered to lead you on a 23 mile loop with a lump or two to cycle up keeping you warm and moving through the Winter.
Please dress warmly; bring a drink; a puncture repair kit with an inner tube to fit your bike; a helmet and cash/card for the cafe.
We hope to see some of you there at 9:15am for a 9:30am start. If you can join us, don't forget to tap the 'I'm attending!' button. Thanks!

Thank you @PaulW!
Sorry, Iโm unable to make the ride now. Iโm glad your knee is better, have a good ride! -

Hi @JohnH! Thank you very much for both routes to Thrift farm and for offering to lead, itโs very much appreciated.
The idea of the shorter route is to accommodate those that go at a slower pace than those that choose the longer route so that both groups merge at the cafe at a similar time for social mixing. The shortening of the route should be on the first half (before the cafe stop). It should be shortened by roughly 5-6 miles.
If you have a route that does that, please can you post it so that those that are choosing the short route can see it and download it on to their chosen devices before the ride tomorrow.
Many thanks! -

Hello C riders!
I hope you've all had a good rest over Christmas and feel like stretching your legs again on a bike ride! I've picked a fairly gentle route as we try again to head to the George and Dragon in Quainton where we will meet up with the other groups. A flattish 35 mile loop stopping at 23 miles for an eccles or some other tasty delight!
The weather is looking typically winterish with some wind and maybe a spot of rain. The temperature might feel a bit colder than expected because of the wind, so please come dressed prepared.
Please bring with you a spare inner tube or two for your bike, some water and cash/card for the cafe.
If you fancy coming along for some cycling and chat, please hit the 'I'm attending' button and meet me by the bike racks of Swan pool at 8:45am for a 9am start. I hope to see some of you there.
Thanks!

Hi!! John has offered to take the B ride this week and this Sunday is the Club's Winter Solstice ride where all the groups will meet up at Phoenix Kitchen at Claydon House. The coffee and cake will be free, courtesy of our lovely club!
The route is 45 miles, a few lumps at the beginning, but flattish on the way back.
The weather is looking good for cycling at long last so I hope some of you can join us for a Pre Christmas get together! ๐Please remember the usual repair kit for your bike.
If you fancy it, please click 'I'm attending' and meet by the bike racks at 8:45am for a 9am depart. Thanks!

Hi Leisure riders! Weather is finally looking a bit milder, but there could be some rain so please keep a look for any updates on the forum. Fingers crossed we will get to ride this Sunday!
Your ride leader will be Glynnis and your cafe stop will be the Barn at Stratton Audley. The cafe will be sadly closing after Christmas so a last chance to have one of their delicious cakes and a well earned coffee!
This will be a flattish 25 mile loop around quiet country roads and through some pretty villages.
Please dress warmly for the weather with a light waterproof, fit mudguards to your bike if you have them, bring a puncture repair kit, a drink and some cash/card for the cafe. A helmet is a must!
If you fancy joining Glynnis, please hit the 'I'm attending' button and meet her by the bike racks at 8:45am for a 9am start.
Thanks!

Hello leisure riders!
This Sunday is our monthly meet up with the other groups and this week's cafe choice is at Thrift farm.
We will be definitely earn our cake as it will be a bit of a challenge ride with a few notable hills! Please don't worry as you will be well supported all the way and we will stop often to catch our breath and have a drink. The route takes us through the lovely villages of Wicken, Passenham, The Wealds and Whaddon to the cafe at 15 miles and then back through Nash, Thornborough, Padbury to complete our 25 mile loop. Please note that we will use part of the cycle path on our return as some of the roads around Lenborough are closed.
Weather is currently looking a bit mixed so be prepared with appropriate clothing. Also remember to bring a spare inner tube that fits your bike, a helmet, a drink and some cash/card for the cafe.
If you fancy joining me this Sunday, please hit the 'I'm attending' button or register your attendance via email on our website.
Don't forget the clocks go back an hour!!
Hope to see to see you by the bike racks at 8:45am for a 9am start! Thanks!
